I guess Chapman wanted to give half the fan base a heart attack.  Wild.

Wasn?t easy sitting thru these games in my mid 20s. Mid-40s, they might actually get me that heart attack.

Yankees banning most Red Sox fans from neighboring states from attending games at their turf. Glad to see the Sox spank the Yankees in front of their own fans tonight

Wild save.

Aroldis has nerves of steel though. He looked so comfortable in that jam.

Crotchet is such a beast. I think the Sox have a decent chance to win game 2 with Bello. A bit worrisome that the game 3 pitcher for Boston is ?undecided?, though. Hope they don?t put Dusty May out there..

Man what an amazing game! Masa came through big time, that hit changed everything. Otherwise as great as he was Garrett might have been looking an an L.

Luckily, May did not make the wild card roster so it can?t be him. My guess is Early through the order once and then throw everything we can at them from there.

Pitcher for game 3?   Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Agree....let's not forget this is a best of three series.  Sox win tonight and it's goodbye skankees.

If you think we can win game 2, let's not worry about game 3.  That said, it's probably Harrison or Early.  I like Tolle, but I don't think he's ready.  May isn't on the playoff roster, so no worry there.  It's a dam shame about Giolito!

Couldn?t have scripted it up any better.  Chapman a little scary I. The 9th but once he kicked into gear I was very confident again - even with the bases loaded.  We?ll take singles by Judge all night long.

Crochet was just so solid.  He wasn?t even seemingly at his overpowering best, but just kept them making solid contact all night.  A ?quiet? 10 K?s!

Gotta end it tonight.  Bullpen games are just so bad to watch.  Especially in a decisive playoff game.  It would be excellent theater though if Lively is called on and can step up.

Hoping we get bulldog version of Bello tonight and leave the NY fans speechless again.

They don?t end up needing it but that insurance run in the 9th helped keep my nerves at bay a little bit.

Just shows that Chapman is perfect for the Red Sox.  Can't make it easy on the fans.  Tradition dictates that you have to make it as stressful on the fans as possible, especially when playing NYY.

On the positive side, lifting Yankees fans hopes, only to see them dashed, just makes it all the sweeter.
