The Raptors X/Twitter account just posted this:

https://x.com/Raptors/status/1879724697430241752

It's a screenshot of the final score with a Brandon Jennings picture attached.

Perhaps I'm being a bit sensitive about this, but anyone else feel like this is a bit inappropriate and uncalled for based on the whole situation between Tatum and Brandon Jennings? Like, this isn't the typical competitive fun that you regularly see between teams' social media accounts; rather, this is one referencing an ongoing controversy of a single player on the other team - a controversy that is overall a poor look for the league that is already struggling with its image.

I don't know. This just feels a little out of life to me for all the things they could poke fun at.

Agreed -- it is out of line.

Seeing this more and more with these social media pages. They talk more like trash talking fans than a representative of the team / club / franchise. Seeing this in multiple sports.

I get the feelin there are a bunch of kids running these pages. Probably their first job. Not much maturity there.

They?ve learned that outrageous content leads to more clicks and likes  :-\

Theyre probably thinking we?re not gonna play Toronto in the playoffs so who cares what the result is. The fans and media gnash their teeth but I don?t think they care about this loss. I don?t think they?re motivated to play at their best against every single team especially these bottom feeders. They play, unlike last year where they had something to prove. I think this team thinks it can flip a switch come playoff time because they did it last year. They just need to make it to the playoffs and they?re not that concerned about seeding.

Obviously for us fans, it sucks because we want them to win and dominate every game, but I think we will probably see more of these than not this season :-[

Yeah, last year the opposition had mostly banged up players in each round. They were lucky not to face the Nuggets or OKC either. They won't be lucky this season. Give me Denver/OKC over Boston in a 7-game series any day of the week

It would be nice if Brown would act like he wants to be on this team a little more. He has just been going through the motions for weeks now.

He?s been the cause of a lot of the defensive breakdowns because he doesn?t rotate quickly enough or doesn?t communicate on switches and coverages. Then in interviews he?s the first to say ?we have to communicate more?.

I notice it started after his house was burglarized, I wonder if it?s affecting him

Some of this recent "Tatum is soft" trash talk is reminiscent of what Dirk went through for many years.

Dirk was a bit soft earlier in his career?he was also a tier above what Tatum is

Again, another perfectly encapsulated snapshot of our bunk offense - Tatum beautifully breaks down the defense, gets in the lane, and instead of going up to the basket, drawing contact, and getting to the line, he passes it out to the perimeter and we brick a jumpshot.

This year's extreme version of Mazzulla Ball has ruined this team.

These plays have been driving me crazy all year.  The passes out to three point land when there appears to be an available lane to the hoop or an open 5-10 footer. Tatum, Brown, White and Jrue all do it.  It?s clearly the added component to the all in on the three philosophy.  I hate it.

Yep. Since that robbery he has been checked out. 100 percent the reason why this team is struggling right now is because he can't get past it.

Yep.  A 90% chance at two points is better than a 35% chance at three points.

This team is just a dreadful team to start games and they are just awful in the 4th quarter. 15 points in the 4th quarter last night to the raptors.

You would think with 4 of your starter missing everything from 3 they would work inside more. Nope. They just keep bricking away which leads to them being lazy on defense.

This was always the code red situation...what happens if everyone goes cold from 3. Well now we are seeing it and they have no mental resolve to fix it.

Do we miss Oshae Brissett? He wasn't just solid depth, but definitely a vibes guy who made vlogs and everyone seemed to love him in the locker room. Maybe partially the reason KP said there's "no personality" as one thing he noticed last night. This team looks very bored and uninterested most games and you wonder if the locker room has also become bored/stale lately?

Can?t speak to the vibes, but no we don?t miss the player.

A fan recorded and caught Jayson eyeing on these baddies in Toronto. Ella Mai might not be happy to see that 👀

But he was the only Celtic being productive and contributing out in the court so I don't blame him entirely.

Silas, you might have to save the day again. Hope FLCeltsFan is doing OK.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
