Good half.  Remember what OKC did to the Knicks and finish the job.

Yeah we need to come out strong in the 3rd and keep the lead.

Celts are only 6-22 from 3 point range, for 27.3%. So, they can play better, which is optimistic news.

Look what we're doing when we're not just chucking threes. We're letting the defense dictate what kind of offense we need to excel. Only 21 attempts and 6 makes thus far. So we don't necessarily have to shoot a ton of threes every time to always win games. Sometimes more threes are needed, and other times they're not.

Also important to note - Tatum's willingness as the team's best player to let others get theirs when it's helping the team is so crucial to this team being as elite as it is. JB has it going, and it's largely because Tatum is drawing the Dort assignment and they're focusing on stopping them and the threes altogether. This allows JB to do what he does best, which is iso score and get himself to the bucket and easy shots. JB has 12 attempts to just 6 attempts for JT, with White having 9, KP 5, and Jrue 4 and his MVP competition in SGA having 12.

Love that team-first mentality from our best player. It may not ever win him a MVP, but he's much more likely to get multiple titles and even a repeat or possible threepeat than any other current star.

of course the other view is if the celtics were shooting well and had made 3 more threes, the game would be well in hand.

I have Tatum 3rd on my MVP list behind SGA & Jokic.

He is playing great this season. Not getting much credit for it though. I don't think he will be in the top 5 come end of season.

More protecting of SGA by the refs. He clearly fouled JB there and they just let it go.

And the refs don't help themselves by doing these late whistle calls after the shot goes out. It's either a foul or not. Don't taint the objectivity of the game by including context of whether the shot goes in or not.

These color guy for OKC is awful.  Ruins the broadcast.

The only crew that's worse is Cleveland's. They're awful.

Missing wide open 3's.  We're ice cold from3  this game.  And it's not because of OKC's defense.

Good grief, guys. We have to start hitting some of these open threes. If they're changing up and not running us off the line now, then we have to hit them.

I don't watch a ton of OKC games, but when I watch I'm not super impressed by JDub. Feels like he's a bit overrated just based on his age and what they expect in terms of his development, which isn't automatically in the cards for him given his age.
