Jaylen with team high 8 assists. You love to see how versatile this team is.

That is excellent for him - now learn when to not force your dribble Jaylen (4 turnovers).
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Fun game.  Need KP back for games like this - Queta was a nightmare.

Interested to see whether the Cavs stay healthy.  Do they weather the injury to Allen or Garland that always happens?
yeah, he was. i think matchups are really important for him.

I love Queta but I would've given minutes to Tillman in this one.

Queta is single handily killing the defense in these games. It?s becoming gross to watch. Are we sure he?ll be playable in the playoffs?

That was a good shooting night that saved them. I didn?t expect to miss KP this much already. This was an easy win with him in there.

At this point, no.  Too exploitable, too often lost.

Hopefully five more months of basketball change the calculus.  He does impact the game at his best, which is fairly uncommon for a third/fourth string player, and he does appear to be actively improving with minutes.  Had a horrible run tonight, obviously.  But there's a chance that the Queta we see in April is a better basketball player than the one we see right now.

TPs for all who watched it.

Evan Mobley is scary.  He?s made himself a very good offensive player, improved shooting from everywhere. Now a competent 3-point shooter and foul shooter. Hook shot is solid. He?s 23.   What a great guy to have as a complimentary player as your offensive stars, Mitchell and Garland, get the attention.
Mobley, Mitchell, Garland v. KP, JT, and KB is a really interesting matchup. I like Boston?s trio better and the rest of Boston?s starters and bench, but if KP is out the balance swings, a lot.

I?m surprised Joe didn?t try Kornet at all. Queta looked lost on both ends all game. It was really frustrating to watch.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I think Joe is allowing Queta to soak up all the adversities and get over them in real game action. Remember when most of us here couldn?t fathom Joe?s ?let them play through it? approach during his first year as coach? I think that?s what he?s doing to Q in an individual basis, hoping he?d develop to be a real weapon down the stretch.

For Joe, it is pick your poison between Queta and Kornet. Personally, I?m relieved to not see Luke in this game. I hope Q is learning with each game and will figure out the defenses.

I actually think Queta did quite well when iso'd on Spida. He just made some crazy high arcing shots...

Why is he not doing the same with Tillman ? I realize he is a 4 and not a 5, but we need all the interior muscle we can get on this finesse team.

I think it was less the iso possessions - which you can't reasonably expect most bigs to efficiently cover Mitchell regardless of who the big is - and more the constant missed rotations and being out of place defensively, particularly on PnRs.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

This is actually quite baffling, considering we brought him back after performing well last season. Tillman?s leash has been quite short this year. There was a game where he started and was quickly yanked out after a couple of plays. Since then Q has overtaken him in the rotation. Maybe he?ll pair better with KP when he comes back?

It might be that we rate X more than Joe and the coaching staff do, based on what little we've seen of him in game this season vs what they might be seeing from him behind the scenes. They probably think Q is a bigger value add to the team or has a higher ceiling.

If I had time I would go back and watch all of X's off the ball action, both defensively and offensively, to see what we might be missing. It might be something as simple as poor communication, being slow to switch, not setting a screen right, not showing as much hustle, or something like that. Or might be matchups.
