Jordan Walsh has not played well. Am rooting for the guy but it seems he?s not ready to contribute?
I am really disappointed with him. Many small mistakes. He should have boxed out better on that last foul shot.

baylor can pass like really well..I am worried about his defense.
how has he looked so far? can he at least reach "hauser-level" defense?

What is "Hauser-level defense" to you?

Hauser just spent significant reps in the finals against one of the best players in the world and more than held his own.  I think people still need to get used to the fact that he's legitimately an asset on defense.  Hauser can have a poor shooting night and still contribute to wins because of his defense.

Scheierman, for his part, looks slightly better than advertised on defense to me.  He's slow, but he's active and he reads the floor well.  But I'd be happy enough if he was just good enough defensively to get on the court.  Hauser, to me, has risen above that description.

, hes defense and rebounding are above average, solid defender.

i agree with your description. i would add that i see hauser as being a good team defender, not a good one-on-one in isolation defender. he turns attackers into other great defensive players, which is effective.

also, hauser started as pretty poor on defense a couple of years ago. so i am hoping that scheierman can learn and grow on defense.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Rookies looked pretty good.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Good to have basketball to watch, even if the result wasn't what I wanted.

Generally impressed with Springer, Queta, and Scheierman.

True but I was still hoping for some kind of jump in this SL.

The kid Ramsey looked pretty good too.

I was also unimpressed with him.  The shooting performance is what it is, sometimes they fall and sometimes they don't.  I don't care much about that (same goes for JD's hot shooting btw).  But we're being sold this dream of elite defense and connective play with Walsh that just isn't reality right now.  The physical tools are there but he makes a ton of mistakes.
