I think yeah if you don't make any upgrades to the roster while your other eastern conference foes have made significant upgrades.

Are we really satisfied with only Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Luke Kornet being part of our 6-8 guys?
THIS. There were no upgrades. I don't expect the rookies to contribute. Arguably, the bench got worse with Brissett likely gone, Horford is a year older and will be a starter until KP returns.

The bench was worse last year, and we wound up winning a chip. The Horford problem is certainly top of mind, but that's no different than the last few years.

I?d like to hear why you think the bench was worse last year. We cannot count on expected improvements in guys like PP, Hauser, Springer. Kornet certainly has plateau-ed. Will Tilman get the time he needs to improve? EDIT: Lonnie Walker IV possibly getting signed as we speak only reinforces my point.

When we are full strength (Porzingis back) I think the bench will be fine.  Horford, Hauser, Pritchard, all solid and proven.  Then add in Tillman, Kornet, Springer, and now apparently Walker, those are all proven, reliable deeper bench pieces.  The rest, Queta, Walsh, Scheierman, have low expectations, prospects really.

I think our depth will be fine.

Sorry, my post was unclear - the bench last season was 'worse' than the bench from two seasons ago (the Rob/Marcus/Brogdon squad)
