I have to really look at all the FAs again lol. Off the top of my head... I can think of 3 names, and 2 of them may shock people.

Patrick Beverley. Gordon Hayward. Andre Drummond.

The first two are probably like "huh", but I think it makes sense just strictly as depth and "ring chasing". Idk if Hayward's relationship with Boston is good or not, if not then just take him out.

Honestly Beverley might not be a bad get. Motivated for a ring. Gives you an extra depth guard and another defensive force.

But again, I need to explore the FA market and see again who is out there.

I have no interest in Beverley, he's a clown.

My bet is he won't get a team next year. That ball throwing was disgraceful.

I'm not sure Hayward fits our style even if willing to take the min.

I love Pritchard, but his value is pretty high right now, and I'd love an upgrade. Not sure who though.

I haven't watched Hayward play lately, but going by his body of work he's the type of player who can pretty much play any style. So not sure what part of his game you have trouble with imagining would fit with our style.

looking sportrac yesterday. Guys I can see available for the min.

Bigs
Theis
Saric
Thomas Byrant
Bamba

Wings
Bertens
Dougie Mcbuckets
Josh Richardson
Lonnie Walker
Marcus Morris

Guards
Aaron Holiday
Kris Dunn
Delon Wright

I would try to add a big and a wing, I believe they were after Richardson and Bryant last year but they choose Miami last year, I like lonnie walker, he shot well from 3 last year.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Springer, Queta, Tillman, Walsh, and Davison are all intriguing as to whether one or more can make the leap to a Celtics rotation quality player.  An FA to upgrade the 5 as insurance would be great if PBS doesn?t think Q or X is that guy.

Queta seemed like the best of the bunch with Springer having fantastic defensive instincts and drive. I know we predictably didn't go with Queta in the playoffs, but his ability to guard the rim, rebound, and get up for lobs is exactly what we need on our bench. He obviously needs to learn rotations better, but his ceiling seems like the highest.

I was a big Tillman supporter when we grabbed him, but I'm not sure he's that guy. Sure, I guess he comes back at the minimum, but I think he expects more based on his previous role with MEM.

Walsh is a total project, but I like the kid's personality. He has a lot to work on, though.

I was pretty disappointed with our vet min FA pick-ups last offseason. As a team with championship aspirations, I thought we could have done better. We'll see if we can get more proven veterans to shore up our rotation this offseason, but maybe those signings were by design as to not have any disgruntled guys on our bench not getting time.

I think we have everything we need. Run it back , stay healthy, and improve from within. Guys like Walsh, Springer and Davidson will get better. Also the core group with Tatum, Brown, White, KP, Jrue and Al have not peaked yet.

Would love to get Gordon back as the wing off the bench with Sam

Hayward pouted his way off a contender and didn?t score In the playoffs for the Thunder I don?t think. Not sure he is In league next year

Walsh is under their control for 4 years so he's not going anywhere. They have a team option on Queta. I would expect him to stay if they can't re-sign Kornet. Tillman got his ring so one would think he'd move on.

Complicating matters slightly is that Porzingis is likely to miss a lot of time since he's having surgery. With Al a year older, they're going to need some cover. Kornet would be first choice but, if he can get more money elsewhere I would think he'd take it.

I'm not sure they'd want to roll into the season with Queta being part of the rotation.

As for the rest of the roster, it's going to be mainly developmental. I can see Brissett staying just because he excelled in a limited minutes role this season. But the rest of it should be similar to what they have now - unproven guys hungry to stay in the league.

Also JD Davison will be out of contract so I'll be curious about what happens with him.
