Dallas defense isn't any better.

Celtics playing with no energy. Offense looks like a mid Feb. game.

Rebounding is awful.

Rebounding and getting to loose balls. Both measures of effort are lacking tonight

Exactly. Boston looks like a team that knows they have a clinching game at home still and Dallas playing like a team that is down 0-3 at home.

Things will be different Monday.

Playing lackluster when there?s literally a title on the line because you have a clinching game at home is completely inexcusable.

I guess you should say that about the Bulls and MJ. They were up 3-0 and got pushed to a game 6 vs Seattle.

It happens.

Why are you even making the comparison? The bulls had won several titles at that point. This Celtics team has not.

So what adjustments have the Mavs made tonight on defense? My impression is they are packing the paint and we are not making them pay from three. Tatum and Brown are forcing drives. You can't keep driving into multiple defenders and then complain about no calls. Kick it out sooner and bomb away from three
But they are not hitting threes either.  :-\

At some point they will. Good looks from three are a much better option than forced drives into 2-3 defenders
With the lack of focus and energy. I doubt that would matter. Shouldn't even be down that big. They could start playing with urgency in the 2nd half but that could be too late.
It is never too late to adopt better habits and play hard. Get the momentum back going into Game 5!

I still can't believe a team like Boston can go an entire half shooting just 11-37 and with 35 points.

Dallas scored 61 but that's not "terrible", but we were ice cold and also gave DAL so many 2nd chances
You can?t beat any NBA team playing the way they did in that first half.

If the deficit is still 20+ by the end of quarter, bench everyone and save them for Monday

Dallas 8 offensive rebounds to Boston's 12 defensive rebounds. An offensive rebounding rate of 40%.

Boston has 2 off rebounds to Dallas 21 defensive rebounds. An off rebounding rate of 9%.

Too many extra shots for Dallas.

I am sure if the Cs win in game 5 you will still find something to complain about.

Tatum is too emotional to lead this team. He doesn't have outbursts, but he is so susceptible to being mentally pushed into a bad spot.

Yeah this one's over. Get ready for Game 5.

I guess now we can just hope they win it at home and celebrate Monday night around TD Garden

Gafford knocks Tatum down and it's a foul on Tatum for being on the ground.
