I like reddick

Having Burke on there also is unnecessary. Let her call second tier regular season games
I feel the opposite. I think Burke is fine but Reddick has no feel for calling a live game. Think he's really bad at it.

Agree JJ is wooden and awkward. He knows the game but got promoted WAY too early to the top broadcasting team. He has zero chemistry with Doris, and isn't great with Breen either.

Agreed. Reddick is a sound basketball mind, and a thoughtful podcaster/conversationalist, but he's not a great broadcaster.

Sorry but JJ belongs on a podcast. Just not cut out for live games.

So I know he gets some hate on here but I quite enjoy Scal?s commentary. High IQ commentator who can explain a lot of what?s happening out there on the floor. Scal isn?t a play by play guy but he?s not worthless color commentary.

As an aside, the Hornets commentator is also top notch lol

the whole crew sucks
+1

Have to agree. All 3 are pretty terrible. It?s really hard to believe they couldn?t put together a better group for the NBA finals. Sad

Yeah. Here?s an idea: How about an experienced former NBA coach?  I like both Van Gundys or somebody like Larry Brown.

Insufferable.  I like play by play and commentary not agendas.

She seems like a nice person, but I cannot wait for her to retire. Listening to Doris for an entire game is brutal.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'll be honest, i find her perfectly fine when its not a Celtics/76ers game. She's otherwise pretty fair.

I don't really think there are many, if any, nba tv people who offer great game insight. That's not really their fault, the game moves so fast that by the time you explain some tactical wrinkle the teams have went back and forth like 4 more times. NBA tv people need to keep up with the action, offer occasional insights, and be convey the feel of the game flow to the audience. She does all that fine.

Turn off the sound on the TV, then turn on the radio and blast Johnny Most.

I was thinking, Doris and her Sixers and had a crazy thought. Imagine if Danny Ainge was their GM the past decade.

So, the Tatum trade never happens, and Danny takes Tatum to join Embiid.

No Ben Simmons for the Sixers, he probably trades down a few from 1 and takes Brown still

Big 3 Embiid, Tatum, Brown...probably end up with Horford on the team and who knows what other talent.

Sixers probably going for their 3 or 4th title now too. LOL

Sixers literally tanked to perfection but had the wrong GM to fill up the team for Embiid. A colossal failure.

During G3, I was texting with my buddies about this exact thing. I tuned in 98.5FM Boston, but Sean Grande play-by-play was actually almost a full play ahead of the TV broadcast.

Sean Grande is in my black list until the finals are over, he almost jinxed us in game 3. Or more like he did, but we powered through it.
