Sounds like the Celtics are targeting mid ECF return for KP

I saw this post and quite frankly, I feel the same way:

https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/comments/1ctvh9w/this_timberwolves_season_reminds_me_of_the_202122/

Quote
This Timberwolves' season reminds me of the 2021-22 Celtics team

•was a play-in team the previous season because of injuries

•showed true potential in the regular season by having the league's best defense

•Vibes are great

•Eliminated Kevin Durant's Big 3 by sweeping them

•Took the defending champs to Game 7 in the conference semis

For what it's worth, that Celtics team was my favorite in the Brown-Tatum era but this current team is undoubtedly the better one

And btw. Could the Celtics be the "Golden State" in the scenario, with them having the easier road to the Finals (not much mileage) and having the experience which Minnesota still doesn't have? If MIN wins Game 7, this could be a real parallel.

Also, GSW beat Brunson in the WCF 2022. We could face him next round ECF lol

Hopefully we’d be at 1-1 at least. Getting 2 games at home would be great though!

Perhaps the best aspect of this year's team (and our teams in recent years) is that we're a very good road team.  That's not common in the playoffs.  We're 4-0 this year.

Contrast that to the Knicks-Pacers series, where the home team has won every game.  Even the 2008 Celtics team didn't win a road game until they played the Pistons in the ECF.  If we hadn't won a road game this year, this team would be labelled as mentally weak.  We've had two bad game 2s at home, but I don't see how any fan could reasonably complain about our team's performance in the playoffs so far this year.

This team has what it takes.  If we can play well at home with Porzingis healthy, we'll be hanging banner 18.

ESPN's Michael Wilbon doesn't trust the Cs and thinks that a healthy NYK team, or Indiana as is, would beat them. Like probably more than a few of us here he's been scarred by our 18 regular season and 2 playoff losses and doesn't think we can do it. He thinks we're going to choke.

ESPN’s Michael Wilbon said he would pick the New York Knicks to beat the Celtics in a theoretical East finals between the two. That is, if the Knicks were not decimated by injuries.

“If the Knicks were healthy, I would take them to beat the Boston Celtics, who I can’t trust,” Wilbon said on ESPN’s postgame show following the Indiana Pacers and New York’s Game 6 on Friday night. “And they’re not healthy, I’m not even sure if I can take them to beat Indiana.”

If NY were healthy. Not just Anunoby but Randle. M Robinson and Bogdanovic too.

If they were healthy and Boston was without Porzingis, I'd have NY as the favourite in that series. Boston would need Porzingis to beat a healthy Knicks team.

Well they are not. You can what if a lot of stuff in sports and it does not matter. There is a lot of hate toward the Celtics franchise for them winning so much in the past, especially by east coast "personalities".

And I would take a healthy Celtics over a healthy Knicks. You can really trust the Pacers? That is laughable.

Neither NY or Indy can win on the road. ESPIN is begging for the Knicks to win. It is comical.

If the Celtics win the title, it won't be the fact Boston was the best team wire to wire or it won't be about the J's getting it done. The narrative will be who they played and who wasn't there like that is something they can control.

Boston has done what good teams do when teams are missing players. They have pretty much taken care of business. And NO ONE ever says well the Cs are missing KP...they don't get that beneift.

The Knicks when fully healthy are not better than the Celtics.

First off, how much do you really care if someone’s narrative doesn’t provide requisite credit to the Cs if they win the championship? It won’t be a universal narrative anyway. Cs will get credit, especially since they will need to defeat Denver, Dallas, or Minnesota.
It will be undeniable that the road to the finals will have been easier for the Celtics.  Good. They earned the #1 seed by winning the conference convincingly, and they’ll have  done what a number seed is supposed to do. Some will taint the accomplishment; most won’t.

Agreed.  Media just pre-emptily making up narratives to the inevitability of the Knicks (or IND) to Boston in the ECF?

Celtics are gonna be the in Finals. Some in the media are just gonna have to deal with it.
