They better be playing Maye more. One set of downs?  ???

I'm not able to watch this preseason game, but just checked out the box score. Why has Zappe thrown 16 passes, compared to just the 3 from Maye? Do we really need to see Zappe? Heck, I don't know why he's still on the team after what he did last season.

Maye played one set of downs and it looks like that's all we are going to see from him. Talk about kid gloves. Hoping we get to see Milton in the second half.

Joe Milton is making some plays. With his feet and arm.

I get it, it's preseason, Carolina isn't playing anyone either. But I've seen enough, Joe Milton over Zappe please. That was a dart for a TD, and he's made some awesome runs too. Almost like Cam Newton running around the Pats in the 2013 MNF game. Not at all saying he's Cam Newton but if you ask me, he could be deployed as a "gadget QB" (same way Taysom Hill is used). He's got the size and build.

So ESPN Pats reporter Mike Reiss took Mike Felger to the woodshed yesterday...he took exception to Felger insinuating he was a shill for the Patriots' management for his reporting that the Pats were willing to make Aiyuk one of the highest paid WRs in the game.

Yep. Milton can actually throw an accurate pass!

I'm not sure Felger was wrong with most of what he was saying.

No joke but that also felt like the first "dart" I've seen from a Pats QB since Newton very early in 2020 (in the Seahawks game before he got COVID and his shoulder became washed). Mac Jones and Zappe can't make that throw, their deep throws tend to be floaters or "fades"

I was honestly more impressed with his running ability. I didn't expect that. Hope we get to see more of Maye next game. Playing him for only one set of downs was ridiculous.

Milton has a cannon arm.  Accuracy comes and goes, and he has no touch, but he can make some impressive throws at times.

Joe Milton looks so much better and livelier than Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones. Omg.

The QB position will be very interesting.

Folks be saying Milton is a stud and a beast esp back in his college days, and Maye looking like he about to be Josh Rosen'd....eeeek. Some also comparing Milton to Big Ben with his escapes and cannon arm.

So Maye got 6 snaps. 3 handoffs, a converted 3 and 12 screen, dump off to a RB.

His "miss" was a great throw that hit Raegor in the hands and he dropped it.

I'd say they have their QB situation under control. Gave the deep bench burn last night.

I can't lie, I was rooting hard for them to pull Zappe's plug and put Milton in. He has a cannon
