I did find it funny how with 15 secs to go, only down 4, that arena started to clear out immediately and you hear "Lets go Celtics" and "MVP" chants for Tatum at the line.

What a fraudulent fanbase. And the fact that they have an entire court and jersey designed for "Heat Culture" including a paragraph literally etched into the paint. Sorry but that's so pathetic.

heat culture?

you mean CHEAT CULTURE and THUG CULTURE?

I DESPISE THAT WHOLE ORGANIZATION ALMOST AS BAD AS THE FAKERS  >:( >:( >:(

Wade was one of the worst thugs of the modern era .

They got what’s coming to that crowd .

I love what we're doing.  Featuring KP and Tatum in mismatches.

Does seem like a scheme doesn’t it?  Yeah - KP working hard to capitalize.  He’s a pretty tough guy - but unfortunately brittle.  Hope he gets some good rest upcoming.

The Rondo-Wade incident and Olynyk-Love come to mind. It was definitely a flagrant. Just glad they didn't make it a Flagrant 2. But still, I loved just seeing Jaylen jawing at Robinson during the entire sequence. This team needs to be tough out there and assert themselves. Nothing is gonna get spoon-fed to them. If you wonder why teams like Golden State, Miami, Denver, etc. have made and/or won multiple Finals in recent years, it's not just talent, it's also being tough and not wilting under pressure.

while i understand and agree with your larger point, jaylen’s version of toughness won’t win us any games, and will likely lose us playoff games. if you’re going to get physical and jaw at opposing players (to your point, similar to denver and GS), you must back it up with quality play. like it or not, jaylen acted tough but wilted in crunch time.

I wouldn't point to GS as a team that doesn't do stupid tough guy stuff! LOL

who pointed to GS as a team that doesn’t do tough guy stuff? furthermore, calling GS’s tough guy stuff as stupid just demonstrates that you don’t understand the point being made and/or you’re just trolling for a fight. four championships and six final appearances in nine years isn’t “stupid tough guy stuff.”

nice deflection. i guess you went back and read the posts and realized you completely whiffed on the point.

pro tip: the c’s can win a game and celtic/basketball fans can still analyze its good and bad aspects.

FWIW, my Dad was saying the same thing and I agree, I loved seeing Jaylen just go at Robinson and the team showing some fight. The shoulder push given the positioning was a bit dangerous and could have led to injury, yes, but enough of this "buddy buddy", "finesse" stuff. I wish these guys would play and act tough on the court. Go after contact and just be aggressive.

Say what you will but I thought Denver took the leap last season doing the same. Murray and Jokic just started playing tough and just going at their opponents and occasionally jawing at them.

Miami is built like that too. Even though I think their "Heat Culture" thing is pathetic, that is still a tough-nosed team with tough players.

Wow. Agree on all counts.

One of the factors that has prevented this Celtics group from winning titles has been their finesse approach and character. They really have needed  a couple of guys with more aggressive attitudes that play with a chip on their shoulder. Marcus Smart had that but even he let things go like Draymond sticking his head in our huddle and Kyrie stomping on our mid-court mascot. But what do you expect when your head coach and now GM is a pure finesse guy ?

Oh yeah ....... that "Heat Culture" court emblem is so contrived.
Though Jimmy Butler is a hard-ass competitor. Imagine him on this Celtics team instead of Jaylen Brown.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Jaylen and Jimmy have the same amount of titles... I hope that changes soon.

It's not a private board. You said " jaylen’s version of toughness won’t win us any games" so I said that we won.  ;D
