I hate these immediate 3s after an offensive rebound, especially when there’s a defender there

I've noticed this, too. It's so prominent and happens so frequently that it has to be a directive and game plan strategy from the coaching staff, which would certainly fall in line with Joe's overall extreme three point philosophy.

They’ve shot 4 more 2s and 1 more 3 than us but they’re shooting 50% and 38% we have to defend better…having a lot more Brissett and Queta in the lineup might be messing up their defensive chemistry

Agree that Jrue should have taken the lay-up, but White’s play of late is concerning. To think that there was actually some all-star chatter with him a month or so ago.

With no KP and White sucking, we’re really just an average team. Not surprising a fully healthy Pelicans team is taking it to us right now. They are good

Agreed. Joe's game is now exposed without KP and average White. The next few games will be crucial to see how Joe will respond to this situation.

And why do the Jays still take those inefficient stepback threes?

NEED HELP

Tonight's game, they said Pritchard tied Eddie House with some kind of consecutive three point record at 24 games...what was the exact wording of the record as I wasn't fully paying attention. Thanks

Not a bad play to open the 3rd.  See, Joe?  Shooting from inside the 3 point line ain't so bad.

No offense Indo, but what team have you been watching these past two seasons ?

First, the J's have been taking bad step-backs since they arrived.
Second, the only response Joe ever has is to shoot more 3's.

This is ubiquitous through out the league and even into college ball and lower. Offensive rebounds and pass outs lead to wide open jumpers. It’s not a Joe thing, it’s a modern basketball everyone can shoot from outside now thing.

I always think Herb Jones looks smaller than I expect. More like 6-5 or 6-6 than 6-8.

Hmm, it's almost like if you vary the offense, get some good two point looks to go first, and don't just rely on hitting high volumes of quick threes your offense will fare better. Who knew?! Much better and more varied offense to start the second half, with the Al three being the first three point attempt of the half 150 seconds in.

Of course, but it's about the frequency of this. We do this on virtually every single offensive rebounding possession, even multiple times on the same possession. I don't ever remember seeing a team do it this frequently and stress it this much.
