Oh man, Denver is next up. Our home win streak will really be challenged.

Well, luckily both teams are fully rested this time and seemingly healthy. No more of this contenders match on the second night of a traveling back to back match. Should be a good game.

I am excited, I want to see how we play against the former   MVP.

Luke interview with Abby - the guy is genuinely funny, likable  - brings smiles. And he’s a much better player than he was given credit for here earlier in the season.

Go Luke.

I think the C's are due for a home loss. Got Denver, Clippers, Pelicans, Pacers left in January.

Rather it be now than to lose to the Lakers on Feb 1 and hear them gloat how they're the first team to end our home streak.

It is crazy, because Wemby looks awesome (not against us necessarily, but he is having a great season.) I think they need to look hard at upgrading the playmaking role from the backcourt.

They shouldn’t be as bad as they are. Especially on defense. I think Pop was forcing things a bit, trying to make Sochan into a point guard. Recently they made a switch and are starting Tre Jones.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, Jones, Vassel and Johnson are their best players, but Pop is trying to let the young players (including Wemby) learn and grow.

Also, Denver is a pretty mediocre road team. They are 11-10 on the road this year.

Next eight games are pretty tough, only one team below .500 and that's the Rockets. Two B2B's. Next eight opponents have a combined 58% winning percentage.

All the top teams are mediocre on the road:

BOS   12-9
MIL     9-9
PHI    10-7
CLE    9-7
MIN   13-9
OKC   11-8
DEN   11-10

You could look at strength of schedule for road games and that would probably rationalize the +/- couple of games between all these top teams.  BOS is only 1 game better, MIL 1.5 games better than DEN.  There is not much difference.

Not to sound like a sour sport, but it's hard for me to get excited about the 20-0 home record when this team is a combined 10-12 in their last two postseason runs with some bad, pivotal losses mixed in. They went 1-2 in the 2022 Finals, and then 1-3 in the ECF last season including a Game 7 blowout at home.

But I'm hoping new season, new team means a different theme this Spring. This team should be using homecourt as a true advantage.
