Yup, hate it now...never liked it anyway. Mickey Mouse tournament

Mickey Mouse? I heard the Lakers are very good at winning Mickey Mouse trophies. They're still in it and I think they're gonna win the tourney. It's a given.

Well if they win it I hope they shut down the city and do a parade to celebrate their Mickey Mouse trophy...just like the asterisk championship they won during the bubble

I’m glad the C’s are out. Not interested in risking injury over meaningless tournament games.

This is honestly kind of how I felt about it too.

Not gonna lie, would be pretty exciting to watch ham play Lebron 41 minutes in multiple games and have him banged up the rest of the season to win this.

Now that I can get behind. Plz play LeBron and Davis and run them to the ground and bang them up good

Nobody get a week off, everybody plays 2 games during this stretch

Well, except the "lucky" teams that play 3

I'm the sense that there are competitive games in November/December I like it.

But imagine a Celtic gets Injured going hard in the IST. Or worse in the championship game that doesn't even count towards regular season? There would be uproar

In a way I'm glad the Celtics got disqualified and now KP has a week to rest and come back

It would have been nice to win, sure. But I am not upset in the least that we are out already. This seems like the kind of thing that young teams (aka the Pacers or Kings) should care about. Gives them a taste of high level basketball for a week. I know the Kings made it last year, but I still think it applies. A team like the Thunder could have benefited from this kind of format. Dip your toes into competitiveness.

Happy they are out, not happy they lost a game. Great crowd yesterday in Indiana.

I didn’t feel any sense of greater wish to win because of the IST - I just wanted a regular season win.  But the loss is mitigated by being out of the Vegas nonsense and possible 83rd game.

A loss I could deal with, but the way they lost really annoyed me. They better take it to heart and stop coming into the second half slow, because that's been a big issue for us in the playoffs.

Hopefully the single game elimination aspect of the tournament helped drive home to them how unacceptable it is to lose the 3rd quarter like that. They can't just rest on being the more talented team when one game means you're out (nor should they in the playoffs, but they do)
I'm bitter.
