[Scotto] The Boston Celtics are converting Devin Carter to a two-way deal, league sources told HoopsHype. Carter averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes during 38 games for the Sacramento Kings last season.

Great news. I really like the 2-way group even if Amari Williams needs to pick it up a bit.

Amari i feel can be an Amir Johnson type of player if he just puts his head into it. He has all the tools to be a solid role player but for some reason the motivation is lacking.

Feel he is a less talented Mark Blount. Just do not see him becoming anything and now with Robinson and even Cenac I think his opportunity on this team is gone.

These 2-way roster spots are really part of the overall depth.  I suspect all 3 will be suited up for the NBA team a fair amount.  I see it as a big part of why the team is willing to go with a 14-man roster.  Most games, they will have one of these (3) 2-way guys "called up".

All 3 of these guys can be an emergency fill in right now.  All 3 have the potential to develop into something better.  You have a small guard, a mid-sized versatile forward, and a big.  I agree that the window on Amari Williams is starting to close, but he is still a decent option for a big on a 2-way.  PHI has Tacko Fall, for example.  There just are not a lot of good options.

Bobby Manning: What tells Paul George that Jasyon Tatum is back? "He's explosive, he looks strong, he's shooting the heck out of it. He looks confident. He's making plays, he's handling pressure, he's getting to his spots. Defensively, he's locking down, he's rebounding. You see everything is back."

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Never understood the pick. Amari will be 25 in January and is still extremely raw.

I do not know why the Celtics did not take Tyrese Proctor. He is such a Celtics type of guard and would have learned so much from Derrick White.

That is music!!!!

If JT continues to look great and PG looks as he did in the preseason game (not worried about the shot, that will be there), C's are going to be very competitive.   The remaining roster is solid and deep.

Keep moving the ball. Keep rebounding on the offensive end.  BTW, does Luka Garza get any love here?   The guy works his tail off and is a dang good offensive rebounder and a really good 3-point shooter.  Has deficits defensively but as a third center, the guy is an asset.  Always ready, always engaged.  Amari should take notes.
