Did Ime get us a ring? I don't remember him getting us one. I do remember him throwing the Celtics under the bus to start last season.

I don't think this is a controversial take. Remember in last year's ECF, after Game 3 even Mazzulla said he had no idea what was wrong and the team definitely didn't seem to be behind him. Obviously they won some games after and that helped, but this is why they added Cassell and others to the staff as well.

I don't think Mazzulla is a guarantee to be here beyond 2024 UNLESS something drastic happens like multiple stars going down to major injury, in which case he might have an excuse if they underperform. I do hope he works out, but I will say his "chuck up all the 3s" philosophy is something I despise. I know the team has had a similar philosophy all those years even with Stevens, but it wasn't this extreme before and it wasn't like they were just advocating for it during postgame interviews like Mazzulla. "We didn't take enough 3s" or "3s are easier than 2s" lol

Ime gets a lot of praise for a guy who let the franchise down.  Whether you think the suspension/firing was just or not, he did something that put Wyc/Brad in a position to have to do something.  He crossed boundaries, and we are in a coaching dilemma because of him.  So I'd rather post optimism for Joe and good riddance to Ime rather than pining for Ime and doubt and criticism to Joe.  Just looking at outcomes, Joe was one game away from getting to exactly where Ime got the team to.  Hope he does better this year.

If I remember correctly, Spoelstra was thought to be inexperienced and learning on the job the first few years.  I'll wait a little while.

Agreed. I think if Tatum doesn't get hurt in the first minute of game 7 then we would've gone back to the finals against Denver.

Ime didn't get us a ring because the Celtics turned the ball over 16+ times in almost every game in the Finals. But Ime did get this team to their first Finals appearance in 12 years, esp turning the season around in Jan 2022.

Mazz ran these guys down and refuses to change his coaching ways. Not using Grant Williams more or his bench. Defense was abysmal for the most part. Mazz's team got blown out at home in a Game 7. Tatum injured? Then where was Brown when you needed him to step up against these G-league Heat players. Mazz gets no praise from me.

Couldn’t agree more. TP

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
