To get Bronny drafted would be an accomplishment, to get him on an NBA roster next year on a guaranteed, non-two-way contract would be an even bigger accomplishment, and to get him drafted in the 1st round, wow

This trying to drive the narrative, or whatever they’re trying to do, and make Bronny a higher profile prospect than he is won’t work unless the only goal is to get Lebron for a year or two.

Even then I don’t see how this works for Bronny. I’m envisioning a “water boy” scenario where he’s trotted out onto the court to score a feel-good 2 points in a meaningless situation and then poses with Lebron for a photo op while everyone claps.

Does Bronny really want to be the equivalent of the team mascot for 2 years?

It would not shock me that stating they won't sign a 2 way will scare off teams so LA can draft him at 55.  No one will draft Bronny with a guaranteed roster spot unless it's a team in the 2nd round that is rebuilding with a ton of roster spots.  But the thing is that no one will want him until the 50's.  Maybe the C's can trade their 2nd this year for a 2nd next year for a team wanting to jump the Lakers in the 2nd round.  He's a good athlete and if he somehow grows a few inches over the next few years he could be a role player in the NBA if he can add a few inches in height.

I don't think so, and based on Bronny's comments about wanting to be his own man and make the NBA on his own merits, it appears he doesn't think so either...but beggars can't be choosers, and as of right now his best chance of making it into the NBA would be if the Fakers picked him to entice LeBum to stay (or whoever else who thinks that they can get LeBum by picking him). If it came down to making it to the NBA on a nepo baby vs not making it I think he would accept being a nepo baby

Why would Phoenix want another shooting guard?

They already have Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Grayson Allen. That is three. They have said they want a PG to deal with the issues they had last season. A proper PG who can run an offense. They were non-comittal whether that player would start or come off the bench. Either way, Bronny is not that player. And there is no clear role for him as a bench SG behind those three other SGs. And that is not even including Eric Gordon if they bring him back.

Bronny would be an afterthought.  If PHX is truly spending a first round pick on Bronny, its to get Lebron.   It really has nothing to do with Bronny or his skill set.

Of course, getting Lebron to take a veteran's minimum seems like  a bit of a pipe dream.

I don’t think it’s a pipe dream.  Lebron can generate millions of dollars on his own, he knows he’s running out of time, I don’t think he’d balk at taking a min salary to get another ring on what would be a stacked team.

He’s smart, he knows phoenixs salary situation, considering who’s on phoenix’s roster why else would they make the list?

I wonder if LeBron is aiming to be an NBA champion with his 4th different team. I’m not sure that’s ever been done.

It’s crazy you got guys like this returning to school and Bronny saying he won’t sign a two way or workout for most teams. Little embarrassing as an nba fan. I am thankful the Celtics don’t seem to be part of this circus

Lebron has always gotten as much money as he could and that doesn't seem like it's going to change anytime soon.  He wants his value as player and he thinks he's worth a lot.

At what point the LeBron angle in all of this could begin to be considered tampering?

And I’m sure that has nothing to do with the fact that it could land them Lebron.

Why can't the Lakers attract talent to LA? They have Lebron and AD, and everyone else is disposable. There's no excuse for having such a weak roster to pair with those guys. I love it. I hope they draft Bronny to keep his dad.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
