we do need high-motor skills.

Don't they already have that with Banton, Brissett and Walsh? Need someone who can shoot

Teams are trying to adopt the Heat philosophy of finding these diamonds in the rough for cheap, but it's like have they won an actual championship doing it?
NBA teams have been doing that for decades. The Heat have just been a little better at it in recent years. But I agree. These teams have this armies of assistant coaches to supposedly develop guys.  And 98% never turn into contributing players. Talent matters in basketball, more than any other sport I think.

We need some guys who play with effort and don't lie down and die when adversity hits the team.   I don't think these signings provide that but I would like to be wrong. MIA shot really well but they also outplayed us and won too many of the 50-50 balls

I am not sure Tatum and Brown will step up in these regard and I am not sure Zinger does it either.

I still think we need a big and ballhandler or combo guard.

It’s true, but there are some coaches who can get 150% out of their players, and they tend to be the best in their class.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

For everyone who wanted rebounding, Alize Johnson is your man! His rebounding % is significantly better than Robert Williams'
