There you go. This is the reason why the Clippers got cold feet. The question now is, how significant is that injury? Will he miss the start  of the season?

Very interesting considering Jared Weiss had reported that Brogdon was suffering from golfer’s elbow in the playoffs that led to him partially tearing his tendon. But he also said that surgery wasn’t going to be required for it to heal. Hoping it is not something worse health wise that we don’t know about.

The Clippers have so many injury problems already that I can see why they got cold feet. Brogdon would've been a good fit for them.

This could also be the Clippers trying to tank Brogdon’s value so they can get CP3 in the Beal deal. If Brogdon was thaaaat hurt, why would the Cs trade one of their other guards?

So brogdan is so hurt that they trade away their guard depth?

And if he is so hurt they plan on having white and PP only left in the room?

And the Celtics were going to pawn him off on the clippers knowing he would probably not pass the physical?

I just don’t see it. Sure he’s probably going to miss some time but windhorst makes it sound like it’s career threatening

Was listening to NBA Radio and heard Windhorst say this, then I found the quote:

“Brogdon has a health issue, a health issue that as I understand, is so significant, that not only can the Celtics not do this trade, there's probably no Malcolm Brogdon trade that they can do in the short term.”

- Brian Windhorst

Exactly. This is what I don’t get either if he’s that hurt. If Cs knew he was hurt, don’t think they would willingly trade all their guard depth.

If Brogdon is untradeably hurt, why were the Clippers involved in those talks for so long yesterday?

He’ll probably need surgery, thus no trade “in the short term”? Whatever that injury is, that explains his big drop in performance during the playoffs.

If he needs surgery or will be out for time then there is no way you get rid of PP unless it’s for a vet PG

I don’t think drafting a young PG tonight is the answer either.

I think this is fake news. We already knew he was injured, but saying "significant" definitely is an attempt to hurt his trade value. He may be ready for the start of the season, and if not by Christmas.

That was EXACTLY my thought.

What happened: Around 4pm, an assistant nudged the GM and said, "Hey, boss, I was just googling and saw that Brogdon might have gotten hurt. Anyone know anything about this?" The GM looks wearily around the room to a bunch of shaking heads, and says, "We'd better have somebody take a look."

Yeah, unlikely.

I don't know a lot about these things, so I'll let someone with more insight pop in, but it does seem a bit weird that it went all day for an injury that everyone knew about.

If you can snag Cason Wallace he looks ready to go.
