Fell in love with the 3. Now just going to shoot themselves out of the game

Doris Burke is embarrassing herself. Philly is doing nothing, yet she's acting like there's been some big turnaround. the refs are the only reason they're in the game. That and choked shots by Boston.

Turned off the sound as soon as I heard her gravel voice.

TIME TO GET BACK IN THE PAINT MEN

WE NEED HIGH PERCENTAGE TOUCHES AND DRAW FOULS

I’m sure they will once Embiid sits, he’s altered a lot of shots already and blocked a couple. He’s gassed offensively but defensively he just has to stand there and it makes them think twice about attacking the rim

Philly has one foul called on them
That isn't too astonishing. Besides the obvious one Embiid committed, our offence has been incredibly perimeter-oriented

we knew we weren't going to get any breaks with the calls on the road.
Gotta value our offensive possessions, and not just jack the first 3 we can get.
keep working on offense to move their def around and get better looks.

We've lost the balance we started with. No paint touches

Embiid’s presence has been a factor. Him not getting called for fouls helps as well.
It's the same presence that was there at tip-off. We are not even looking to penetrate

Just need a little more patience on offense. No need to force it, Philly cannot defend us in the half court.

I know we hate the philosophy, but the 3s are falling tonight. And most of these are great looks

If the philosophy is to shoot open 3s and 3s that come after ball movement that has put the Sixers into rotation, then I don’t hate the philosophy at all. 3s in themselves aren’t bad as long as the shot selection is good and for the most part it has been.

Also with Embiid in the paint it’s a lot harder to attack the rim, he’s already blocked and altered a lot of shots. I’m sure they will attack the paint more when he sits.

It’s just hard because the 3 is the longest shot and when it misses it’s easy to think “if they were closer to the rim it would have gone in”. And many of us started watching the NBA when taking 15 threes a game was a lot, now they take 50  :police:
I know the nerds hate the the midrange game these days but it’s useful in certain situations. Drive and a floater or a pull up jumper works against bigs like that.

Following Joe's guidance.  Shooting 50% 6/12 from 3 with only 1 turnover so far.

just like smarts clearly flopping

I haven't seen a Marcus flop yet this game. I saw him fall from a legitimate pushoff.
