This tells me if we simply took care of business today, Embiid would have been out today and probably also Game 2 (Monday). Instead there's a chance he can come back Game 2 on Wednesday and have those additional few days of rest.

My biggest concern is that with Embiid out, Boston will presume the win ... and thus lose.

Yeah, seen that movie too many times to expect a different ending now.  Hope we're wrong.

Shared concerns. But hey at least we've all got low expectations.

Every day that goes by it seems Embiid won’t play at all in this series.

Pretend he's playing and still giving us his all. Game 1 will be a dogfight.

Sources: The knee injury 76ers star Joel Embiid suffered April 20 is considered to be more serious than a Grade 1 LCL sprain. He is currently doubtful for Game 1 vs. Boston.

Multiple reports now that the injury appears more serious than was previously let on. May be a situation where this drags on for awhile and even still significantly limits him if he does play.

I’m of the opinion, If he is bad as they really say , he might hurt the team more by playing.  Philly might show out better with out him ever being on the court. The rest might play better ball, be more sharing,  where Embiid is always the focus of everything they do . I think if he plays hurt he hurts them more than helps against Celtics.

So I saw this earlier in the day as well, but chose not to post it because according to most Sixers fans on Reddit and social media (and from other fanbases too), this guy isn't reliable apparently. Idk specifics, but he's some "hack" when it comes to Sixers stuff and just says stuff to make his voice heard on Twitter. I'm pretty sure he's in the Bay Area and covers the Warriors too.

Something I do wonder though. If BKN had won Game 4, and maybe even pushed the series to 6, would Embiid have even returned? Like was he done for the series after Game 3? Interesting thought.

Actually I may stand corrected. Shams tweeted this an hour ago:

If it's a Grade 2 sprain, then forget this series he could be out for at least a full month (so basically, earliest he can return is Finals, like Herro). Possibly rest of the postseason IF it's true

Think Embiid is hurt worse than letting on. And if he plays..he's not going to be anywhere near 100 percent. Just don't see how they beat boston 4 times without him at full strength

If this is the case, I hope the Celtics don’t mess around and underestimate Philly. Finish it in 4 if Embiid is hobbled or unavailable.

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Even with being healthy, Boston plays Embiid very well to the point he is gassed by the 5 or 6th game. Now he is going to gimp his way up and down the floor?

Sixers have zero chance.

Yup that’s his Achilles heel ,  doesn’t let him play at a comfortable or leisurely pace.  Keep pushing the ball and movine the ball on offense.  No rest for Embiid ,  keep fresh bigs on him constantly.

True. Always affraid of moments when we have opponent with a superstar on injury list. Remember last year very well in MIA series. We were at 1:1, when Heat arrived in Garden with half of the roster. Guess what? We lost. So, if you ask me, I'm more affraid of us against Embiidless 76-ers, then 76-ers with Embiid.
