Yeah, but the worst Curse was Idiot Doc Rivers Hanging that Blank Banner in the training facility after we won in 2008.

I thought they hung that blank banner after the 2010 finals loss (screw job).
I don't remember the year, but I thought Doc did that at the beginning of the year to make it a goal, not as a participation trophy for a previous year. Like in 2007 he took KG, Pierce, and Allen on the tour that they would get when they won the chip.

Miami had the unfinished business. They were waiting a year for the moment they could return the favor and beat us at home in a game 7.

The slogan always felt weird to me. And frankly, they definitely didn't play like they meant business.

6 games against ATL, then 7 vs PHI, then 7 more against MIA. Denver and Miami in their first two rounds played 5 and 6 games respectively (Miami did it without HCA too). Denver then swept LAL while MIA went up 3-0 on Boston to start the ECF.

Even last year, Golden State's series went 5 games, 6 games, then 5 games before the Finals. They never played a Game 7 on their run.

At some point the legit contenders/title threats have to wreck teams along the way and make it easy on themselves, and the C's simply didn't. Got pushed to the brink against a PHI team we usually torment, and almost went 7 against ATL first round. Even if we won last night, Denver would have been way more fresher than us and I'm sure it'd be another dogfight with us losing guys to injuries/fatigue. I think the longer these series dragged, the more it hurt our guys, caused fatigue, and clearly seemed to play a part in Brogdon getting hurt.

I think the unfinished business nonsense put our team in the wrong headspace. We're best when we have the underdog mentality. Instead it felt like we were defending against plucky underdogs all year. On our heels.

That mentality, endorsed by the higher ups in the organization, added unnecessary extra pressure to the situation. Our guys were thinking about a title from day 1 instead of honing their craft day-by-day.

If this was a true contending/championship team, then this team should have no business going 6-7-7 against the likes of the Hawks, 76ers, and quite frankly, the #8 seeded Miami Heat with their "mighty Big 3" of Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and the occasional Haywood Highsmith.

Just walking around hearing folks clown on us telling us how all-nba those four guys are compared to guys on our team is gonna make me nauseous.

Why do NBA teams these days think they even need some dumb slogan for their warmup T-shirts? Just wear a team shirt and leave it at that.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
