I'll give ATL credit. They have been fighting every game and even today with Murray, they showed up and didn't quit. Wish the C's had this same heart and killer instinct to go along with the talent

I will tip the hat to Atlanta as well.  For as much as we screwed ourselves over in this game, the Hawks had to hit shots over and over again and they did.

Funny enough, it took a Trae young logo three with 2 seconds left to beat us. Sad that that shot was the difference maker

But they still beat us? What’s your point?
All we hear is how good and talented this Celtics team is and how bad the hawks are and this shouldn’t be even remotely competitive series, yet here we are in an extremely competitive series and you’re on here making excuses for them?

Celtics screwed around all night and never took them seriously. Now they are staring down a game 7 and an all time choke

Those two weren't really ready to play and had two horrible TO's right when they came back in.
Then Smart got the T and the snowball was getting huge and heading right for us at that point.
Smart blew this game 100%.  Those two turnovers, the Tech, the bad foul that gave TY the two fts.
Man what a fiasco.  Gonna be some yelling in that locker room.

every player had a hand in this loss.  Joe bears a lot of responsibility as well.

Ime's team wasn't perfect, but you never questioned their heart and desire to win. They just weren't overall talented/experienced enough to put it all together. Same thing with Brad's early teams.

Joe is clearly in over his head, but nobody should be surprised given that we essentially hired a Joe Schmo with minimal coaching experience to lead the NBA title favorites at the time.

For a team full of great defenders they play some of the laziest sloppy defense i have seen. The effort, the gameplan, everything about it disgusts me. Why are you backing up off of Young giving him a wide open shot. Those are shots Young, Curry, Lillard hit on the reg. And that offense in the 4th quarter was embarrassing. I dont get our coach sometimes, just mind boggling

I think it's the gameplan. Trae Young has felt no pressure all series. The Celtics need to stop playing him the same way because it's obviously not working.

100%. The stupid drop coverage lost us the finals and now its causing us to have trouble with the 7 seed. We cannot defend the pick and roll. They either need to switch everything, or agressive show on the pick and have the defender go over the screen because Trae is eating in the PnR.

Something else Ive noticed all year is that our guys dont set solid screens. You watch these other teams and our defenders get stuck to the screener like velcro but our guys set a soft one and then try to roll out.

They got beat because the Hawks played harder than they did defensively and Young had a big game. Joe might want to reconsider how he defends Young though. Plan A isn't working.

That would require a competent coach that makes adjustments. Joe just sits on his hands... or instructs his guys to play extreme drop coverage on elite pull up shooters.

I don't feel like this is a competitive series ... I feel more like the team is behaving like a child playing with its food instead of eating it.

BOS is not playing seriously enough and they are giving ATL an opening and ATL took advantage. Well done ATL. But if BOS's players play with focus and effort, this series is over. They are vastly more talented than ATL. This is about their lack of discipline / maturity rather than their lack of talent.
