The Heat still have to win a playin' game before they could play us.

As a Tennessee fan I love Grant.  But I can’t help but look at Sam freaking Hauser stuffing the stat sheet despite a 1-8 shooting night, then look at Grant with his two points and one rebound and feel some things about it.

odd stat of the night --- Hauser 1-8 for 3 points on the night yet led the team with +11

He played with a lot of energy and did everything except shoot.
agreed. i am still a bit surprised when i see him play well on defense. plus, he grabs a good number of rebounds. when he is hitting 3 pointers he is actually a credible nba player and an asset to the team. nice.

Hauser is a dog, dude limited athletic wise but hes everywhere hustles and always rebounds.

100%. He plays hard all the time. Never question Sam’s effort.

Haven't always felt great about the way they've played this season, but beating the Bucks by 40, and then having essentially split squads take the third best team in the league to the buzzer, and then the other half of the split squad beat a .500 team on a back-to-back has me feeling pretty good heading into the playoffs.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I agree, should have worded that differently because it’s not my intent to knock Hauser.  Love the dude.  Just frustrated that the guy previously billed as a one-dimensional shooter is out here impacting the game in all of these ways while the guy who thinks he’s worth 20 per year can barely get in the box score at all.

Grant Williams the new Jason Collins.

Positively impacting games while barely showing up in the stat sheet.

I’m not sure how positive his impact is.  Maybe you see differently.

I see a guy who isn’t as impactful defensively as he was last year, though to his credit he’s useful against a few of our biggest playoff threats.  I see a guy who is useful enough as a low-volume floor spacer on offense, but stops the ball and becomes mistake-prone when we ask him to do more than that.

He’s just bleh this year.  And let’s be honest:  ‘bleh’ is better than what a lot of teams are trotting out as eighth man.  But it’s also not something I’m breaking the bank for.

I agree. It is hard to knock out depth as much after these last two games.

Revenge for 2016 man. The 'ol Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson, and Jared Sullinger days where we fell short in taking out the Hawks.

In a way it's a measure how high our expectations were that the Celtics' performance this season can be considered somewhat disappointing.
