White with a +41 tonight.

He obviously is better all around player and far more consistent offensive threat  than Smart at this point .

Boy, you are really down on Smart.  I offer that another way to look at this rather than Smart is bad is to consider that White and Brogdon are good.  We have 3 solid, starting level combo guards.  That Brogdon and White are proving to be valuable players does not diminish how good Smart is.

He has not been the same since he came back from injury.  But if you look at March, even considering that he has been "struggling", he is 33% from 3 and an overall +60 in 11 games (better than Tatum in that stretch).  Also 53 assists.  White has played better in those 11 games (actually 12 for White), 42% from 3, +115 (best on team by far), and 59 assists.

I get that White has been great.  It was actually one of my preseason predictions that White would be much better this season than last season.  White could be our starting PG and we would be a title contender, same as we were/are with Smart.  But I still love Marcus.  The reality is that we don't need 3 starting level combo guards.  One of them likely gets traded for a big.  It may be Marcus.  I am OK with that.
