We won this one largely on our defense. I hope the players recognize that defense keeps you in every game even when your shooting is awful

That is the coach's job.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

LOL Mazzula literally walked inside the 3-point line during a LIVE play

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/11shmrc/highlight_joe_mazzulla_walks_onto_the_court_in/

The refs blew that last play in just about every manner imaginable.

A) Grant was fouled several times by several players
B) the timeout should have been granted, as Grant had possession of the ball when it was being requested
C) Mazzulla should have received a technical for coming onto the court
D) Grant tipped the ball on the way up

Literally FOUR mistakes in one sequence.  I don't understand how this league's officiating problem has gotten this atrocious.  It mars almost every game for almost every team.  This is unacceptable.

I'm ok with this win, away from home against a team that's desperate to win every game to make the playoffs. Winning when you shoot 40% overall and 30% from 3 is something we haven't done as much of this year. Last year we were much better at winning ugly. We will need to win like this in the playoffs when we shoot poorly.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Tatum: makes 14-16 free throws

lol, our mvp candidate can’t even make a FT at this point.

this team is in crisis but it’s so bad, they don’t even realize it. the playoffs are going to be a rude wake up call.

Who would have thought that people would actually read posts in order :o

Your reply is just a goalpost move. You said that "our mvp candidate can't even make a FT at this point", despite him making 14 of them tonight. You're generally just being pessimistic.

the use of the phrase, “at this point” was clear, and my clarifying response speaks for itself. you’re just being pedantic.

Watching Tatum slowly himself into a sidestep three is just awful.

I believe he’s under 30% when he takes 2 or more dribbles before shooting a 3.

Gonna be honest, I just don't understand the Gobert hype. I mean everyone praises his defense and he is a former DPOY, but I feel like when he plays good teams with good centers, he looks mediocre. Then last night, he looked simply average all night. And the Wolves made that insane trade for him lol

Frankly I think Gobert is who held that Jazz team back a few years ago when they were in contender mode, not Mitchell. The Jazz had enough and a solid bench + coach, but Gobert was just overrated I feel and came up short many times

I don't think anyone hypes up Gobert any more. His rebounding, defence and passing have all regressed

How about Smart, Timelord & Gallo for Gobert.

Would folks do that?

Gobert is exposed in the playoffs every year.
