Not a good quarter defensively but still managed to win the quarter by 1.

Jaylen definitely lost a tooth there.

Hope it didn't bust that cheek!

Jaylen definitely lost a tooth there.

I'll be surprised if it's not a broken cheek bone.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Needed that White bucket and Kornet stuff. We were ending the half in a bad way. Obv hope Jaylen is okay

Despite some sloppy stretches, very happy to be leading at halftime

Really feels like if at least one of Jaylen/Tatum wakes up and sort of takes over, we got this in the bag. Embiid can put up 40 but it might not matter

Decent job by Joe thus far tonight given the circumstances.

In the second half, he's going to have to find some action to get JT some good looks. They're doubling him each time he gets the ball, and he's generally making the right read but will have to score at some point.

down 3 starters and up by 4 points. i will take it.

i cannot watch the game, only box scores. how do the celtics look so far on defense?

i was surprised and pleased with griffin's line.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That’s a big concern.  Sure hope not.

that's what I was thinking.  would be surprised if he's able to play in the second half.

Should we read anything into Pritchard not playing?

Blake - Great start. Hit 3 open threes early.

D has been decent after getting dominated by Embiid early. They are quick to double him but he’s still getting looks and driving. Celts red hot from 3 early on. Had a nice stretch when Embiid went out and when he first came back, but Philly finished the half pretty strong. Grant and White (one great block) have hit some big shots. Luke played well including 2 blocks - one a terrific block on Embiid at the rim at the end of the half.

Saw reporting that it was a cut that he went back to the locker room for. Hopefully that's all it is.
