Robert Williams had 16 rebounds v. Memphis, 16 v. Charlotte and 15 at Detroit. The last Celtics with 15+ rebounds in three straight games were Antoine Walker in 2001 and Robert Parish in 1986. Last Celt with 4 straight was Dave Cowens in 1978.

That's a wicked piece of Celtics knowledge to have in your back pocket for bar trivia - I imagine the number of people who could correctly guess all four can't be more than a dozen or two.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Sidebar conversation piece here, but that stat just bums me out because I felt in my heart that Antoine could have been a Hall of Fame level player if he’d just stuck closer to the hoop.  The guy could bang and juke with the best of them.

Love him too.

I agree with this.  Walker wanted to score, he wanted to be 20+ pts/gm, he liked the sound of that, and was fine with 7-8 rebs.  He would have been better if he tried to score more efficiently, maybe 16-17 pts/gm, with higher efficiency, but then get 10-11 rebs.  Get one or two more offensive rebounds per game but give up some 3PAs.

And regarding RWIII, I think he is as right as he is ever going to be.  Not being durable is not the athlete's fault.  RWII's body simply is not going to hold up.  They are always going to have to be careful with him.  He will probably be nursing something for the rest of his career.  But that is OK.  It is simply going to be part of the equation with him.  He has proven he can still be a productive player in spite of it.

Why do you say that? I believe Rob will be 100% healthy next season.

I agree that this is probably what he is going forward. However, even at 80% athleticism, he's still one of the most athletic centers in the league.

On a side note, the progress he has made at the actual game of basketball is wonderful. He may not be able to touch the top of the backboard, but they actually run dribble hand offs with him. I'll take his growing bball IQ at his salary and capabilites any day of the week.

The best part about that record is Russell’s record for longest Celtic streak of 15+, which from memory is 58 games. Ridiculous

The fact remains he is not nearly as explosive jumping, and it remains so, notwithstanding that he is playing decently and getting a lot of rebounds. Paul Silas was a great rebounder and couldn't jump over a phone book.  Rob is not nearly as intimating as an interior defender as he was pre-injury.  Look at the tape.
