With what we’re seeing, the first round of the playoff won’t be a cake walk. I’d hate to see the Knicks in the first round.

Joe says this team gets bored with the simple things. Well no duh, they take teams for granted.

Still hate how many 3’s the C’s are taking. 46 tonight. Ridiculous.

Particularly when you watch the tape and you see that we got back into this by pounding the paint with penetration. We have so many players - Tatum, Brown, Brogdon, White, and even Smart - that can generally get to the hole versus almost any defender with either their speed, quick first step, or ball-handling/footwork, yet Joe just insists on this ridiculous three point heavy philosophy.

It actually started with Brad. He’s a big proponent of taking a high volume of 3’s. Thinks it’s the right way to play in todays NBA.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You see, this is the stuff that is worrisome with Joe. Abby asks a serious question about how do you respond to JB and talk with him after missing those kinds of free throws when he's someone who is known to get down on himself, and he jokes and says "I love you Jaylen". And he does it twice when Abby asks him if there's anything else.

He's just an immature 34 year old that doesn't really know what he's doing - and this is coming from me, a 33 year old! You never really here him given any substantial analysis in these kinds of situations; it's always just reiterating his status quo philosophy or joking around.

When you have a coach that will sacrifice a game to teach lessons, that mentality will filter down. If he doesn't place a premium on Winn, why would his players.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

All Star JT shooting blanks in the last 3 minutes of the game. JB and his freethrows, ugh. Those 2 players are our no 1 and 2?

Did you even watch the game? Noone can credibly blame Tatum tonight. After getting screwed and frozen by his coach after a perfect 5-5 start, he single-handedly brought us back in the game in the 4th with like 10-12 nearly consecutive points.

This loss is on virtually everyone else, particularly Joe and JB. Joe's gameplan is just not working and has only been covered so long due to the hot streak to start off with.

Maybe you should replay the last 3 minutes of the game, where our top 2 players brought us the "win".

Brad was definitely ahead of the curve there, but it's been taken to an extreme now. In his last year coaching, we were 10th in terms of attempts per game for 36.5 a game. This year we're 2nd in terms of attempts per game at 41.7 a game. It's maddening.

He's too much of a players coach.  His in game management is clearly lacking.

Honestly I'm going all the way back to those unnecessary subs early in the 1st quarter.  No reason to take Timelord out 5 minutes in when our starting unit is slaughtering theirs.  No need to be so rigid with timing of substitutions.  Keep that lineup in longer than usual.  Because we all know how important momentum is in basketball.  Roll with what is working.  Instead Joe makes bad decisions and we lost all the momentum from that point on, especially after Tatum came out.  And we end up with a bad game in which we have to play overtime and place more strain on our starters.

4 straight games in a row where Joe has done not a bad job, but a terrible, awful, horrendous job.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a slippery slope Joe is getting into. If the players start to settle and look to “make it up next game”, this team could spiral quickly. He really does need to put a premium on winning. And it doesn’t help if he acts like a goofball after a tough loss like this.

Feel like a lot of the time the players are coaching the team. Tonight should be boot up butts by Joe.

I remember folks were bringing out the pitchforks and crucifying me for dissing Joe and his coaching philosophy.

But here we are. I still stand by what I believe in- he's just not a good coach or should not be coaching at an NBA team. Very inclined to believe if we lose a series in the playoffs this season, it'll be because of him and his ridiculous philosophy

yeah that was a pretty dumb response to a reasonable Q.  If I was Jaylen, I don't think that is what I want to hear either.
