We're shooting 14% from 3 and 27% overall. Not sure what to say about that. Also not sure what to say about Mazz sitting on his challenges and not using them.
I don't even remember the last one he even attempted to use. It's so ridiculous. It's almost like he's decision-paralyzed during games in these situations.
I don’t think he’s decision paralyzed as much as his guiding principles during the regular season is every moment is a teaching moment on how to deal with adversity. Even if it means losing the game. His interview after the Celtics Lakers game revealed much about how he views those situations, whether it’s timeouts or reviews…he wants them to fight through the adversity and take the refs, everything out of the equation. My read of it was that we shouldn’t expect him to do much of those interventions during the regular season at least.
It won’t please everyone that’s for sure but he’s sticking to his guns

why even show up for the game then Joe, if you aren't going to help the team make adjustments, if it is all on them to figure everything out, why have a coach?
Pretty much.
At that extremity, it's dogma. I think the number one characteristic of a good coach is flexibility, and Joe does not seem very flexible.
I can understand some level of his philosophy, as you do want to build resiliency. But he takes it way to an extreme, and it can come at the cost of regular season games, which can be very impactful in matchups and HCA in the postseason.
