Anyone surprised that Payton didn’t play given Brogdon was out and Smartacus was coming back from injury? Was it his defense they were worried about?

Tatum has 12 rebounds and they edge the Raptors off the boards 49-46. He's doing it all this season.

that would be my guess given that it what they worry about with him in every game.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Only a little bit.  I thought Mazz would go a bit deeper into his bench rather than play just 8 players.  My guess is that Mazz knew that once PP went into the game they'd run action to get PP switched onto Siakam and let Siakam go to work.  There was quite a bit of iso ball for him and he would have scored pretty easily over PP.

Last year, the Celtics didn’t win their 20th game, until January 10

The difference between then and now is night and day. For context here's some of the threads on the forum around this time last year, when we were 13-11

Their two-way dominance on the wings reminds me of prime era Jordan and Pippin

We played the Raptors twice in the preseason. I checked the +/- for Pritchard in those games and he was -25 and -11 in those games with him playing the 2nd and 3rd string. With the Raptors rotation being 6'5 and above except for VanVleet and their penchant for hunting size advantages, it's safe to say that the coaching staff did not like the matchup.
