One of the many bright spots is Mazzulla trusting the bench. He allows the players to make mistakes and keep playing.

On the second night of a back to back, it paid dividends. Great win!

I think coach Mazz is doing a great job managing the players minutes. Will pay dividends come playoff time.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Poor Gordy. He's managed to injure himself again. Maybe he fell victim to the IT curse. He pre- and post-Boston games played splits:

Code: [Select]
Year Team Total Games Games Played Games Missed Games Missed/Yr
2010-17 UTA 574 516 58 8.3
2017-23 BOS 236* 125 111 37.0
2020-23 CHA 184 104 80 26.7
2017-23 UTA/BOS 420 229 191 31.8

Everything that happened to him after he signed with Boston has been a disaster.

Has he even played against us since he left for Charlotte? It feels like he's been injured every time.

I harbor no ill will toward Gordon Hayward.  He suffered a gruesome freak injury.  It changed everything for him.  Not his fault or in any way a reflection of his toughness.  He always played hard when he was on the floor for the Celtics.

As to the game, Celtics favored by 11 and 221 over/under.  About how things have been going for the Celtics.  It is the second of a back to back but still hard to be that concerned in this game.  Anything can happen of course.  Take care of business Celtics.  Don't let down.

Take the Hornets w the spread and the over.

Have we not made the over on any game this year?!?!

You were half right.

Indeed. I think I will always take the over...till Vegas figures it out.

TP sir

This was a Trep game for sure

Hornets were trapped in the Boston Garden and couldn’t get out .

They were sitting ducks

2 games against the Heat next. I would love a sweep but my gut tells me it’ll be a split.

And I think that's fine. That's what happens when you take care of business against weaker competition like we have so far; you don't have to sweat losing some games against tough opponents.

Our offense is historically great so far. Mazzulla has to get a lot of the credit for it. This is basically the same roster as last season other than Brogdon.

I think we get them both. We are too talented, too deep for Miami.

After that it’s a showdown with KD and the Nets. It’s gonna be a tough three game stretch.

That would be another statement from this team to take out the Heat twice in succession

Blake Griffin looks like he is having the most fun of his NBA career this season.

From playing with complain-y Rivers and Paul, to playing for Detroit, and then the mess in Brooklyn, it must be a breath of fresh air.
