Who needs a new backup center ?
Vonleh is looking pretty good so far. Love his hustle.
I am somewhat kidding, let's give this time, but at least he is an aggressive rebounder.
Also, I did not realize he was 6-10.

That could be an aspect. Also a lot less rest going into this season (Finals) vs his huge holiday at OKC last season. Another thing is he's the lone big most of the time.
