The NBA teams broke their trend of finally attempting to stop jokic last night. Jokic with a near triple double and 30 points on 14-18 shooting in a nuggets blowout. Will be interesting if teams keep a hyper defensive focus on nuggets in remaining games.

Good reminder that we aren’t the only ones who lose stupid games, I guess.

But recently we've lost more stupid games than they did!

Yeah that's the unfortunate part. MIL has won 22 of their last 25 which is insane. =

It gives perspective on how awesome the 70+ win Bulls and Warriors squads were.  They kept up that pace all season.

Absurd. Also makes me think of the 85-86 Celtics and the 15-16 Spurs, losing 1 game each at home. Fortress

It is not some weird binary thing. You can (obviously, I would have thought) be competitive and want to win, whilst staying loyal to your team.

We laud and adore great players who stay loyal to successful teams, yet laugh at those who stay loyal to teams that falter - why?

Also, Windhorst yesterday said Lebron actually "isn't close" to returning from his injury. He says Lebron has played hurt in the past but doesn't believe this injury is one where he can realistically do that. So it sounds like Lebron definitely won't be back before April

Warriors lost to the Hawks yesterday and are now 7-28 on the road. Wow!

they definitely need him.  Only consistently good player they have.  Russell and AD, even when they play, just can't play well night in and night out.  So much inconsistency from them.

I don’t think many would call Dame disloyal at this point in his career if he wanted to go to another team to compete for a championship. The farthest that Portland has made it in the 11 years he’s been there was the conference finals (once) where they received a gentleman sweep from GS. Blazers aren’t even a playoff team this year and Lillard likely only has a few more years in his prime as small guards typically don’t age well.

My takeaway from the interview is that he enjoys living in Portland and is very comfortable there. Those appear to be the most important things to him, competing for a championship seems secondary. I also get the impression that he doesn’t want the pressure and noise that comes along with playing for a contending team. He seems content being in a small market.

45 million a year is going to be tough to match in a trade without gutting the team that he's going to.
