How Myles Brant is on the team is beyond me

I'd throw a parade if we got rid of Wynn and Bryant. Those two are awful

Coming off two blowout wins, Are pats going 3-8 in their next 11?

It may boil down to how real the Jets are.

Well... true though.  Jets beat the Packers, are 4-2 and a Bills loss away from tied atop the division.  Lose twice to NYJ and it's possible the Pats go 3-8 in their next 11.  The Jets games were considered at least a split and probably many thought 2 wins.  The difference between Pats as a playoff threat and not is pretty slim.  7-9 wins most likely. 6 or 10 possible.

They not only won these games, they completely dominated them. They play the bears who are probably the worst team in the league. I don’t know how anyone who follows football can think a defense this good goes 3-8. Yes the jets are better than expected. The colts, bengals, cardinals and raiders all look much worse. Let’s keep it balanced and realistic. I don’t respect people that just double down on bad takes. I mean even in our three loses we were in all the games except maybe Miami. We should probably be 4-2

We're now 2-0 in this favorable 6-game stretch

Next 4 games are against CHI, @NYJ, IND, NYJ. At worst, we should go 3-1 but honestly, 4-0 could be possible too. Those Jets games will be tough and I wouldn't be surprised if we split those.

But one game at a time.

Zappe was awesome today. I still say with confidence Mac is QB1 but Zappe definitely proved that he can play in the NFL. There were a lot of people doubting if he could even be a solid backup or in the league long term.

We should beat the Bears easily next Monday night. They might be the easiest team we play on the schedule this season. If we do, Belichick passes Halas for 2nd for career wins as coach (fitting, since Halas was with the Bears and we play them next week) and the Pats will move to above .500  :)

The New England Patriots have equal records as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots could be leading the NFC South right now!

Well I respect you CC.  Pats don’t look like a playoff team to me yet, though I hope they continue to progress. I think they’ll win 7-9 games and could win 10 (as I said). Also think if they lose twice to the Jets that they could pile up losses at the end of the schedule. The defense looked good v. Detroit and Cleveland - doesn’t tell me that they’re elite.  But I do like Judon, Duggar, Jones - and 2ndary overall looks good. So I’m hopeful but dubious too.

Thornton, Rhamondre, and Jakobi Meyers represent good recent decisions by Belichick.

If you say we win 8 games I think that is totally reasonably. I’m not sold on them as a playoff team and would lean towards no. My point on that is about the 6 wins. That is just absolutely ridiculous at this point. They have banked 3 wins. It’s very hard to imagine a loss to
Chicago with how bad their offense is and how good our d has been against bad offensive teams. So than you are talking about them going 2-8 the rest of the of the season to end with 6 wins. With a good coach, a nice defense that just seems very hard to believe and at this point strikes me as borderline trolling. I respect you too overall by the way. Refusing to let the 6 wins go after today seemed unusual today and more like something I wild expect from Mo who has made a cottage industry of saying dumb things about the patriots.

Maybe some of it was the Browns giving up but when they ran that jet sweep for Thornton, WOW he looked FAST. That's an element that'll make our offense so much more dynamic. Look at a lot of these teams like Miami with Tyreek or the Chiefs + Bills with all their speedy, shifty receivers.

I said most likely 7-9 wins, possibly 10, possibly 6. Certainly wasn’t predicting 6. Not exactly a daring take on my part.

Mostly reflects being unsure which direction this team will go.

Yeah 6 is not really possible. That’s what I disagree with.

I said this when we drafted him - he reminds me a lot of Robbie Anderson. That wiry tall WR who is very zippy.

I’m getting a little excited about the team. Rebuild may be ahead of schedule. Good to see the two tight ends doing something yesterday. Do people think we have a qb controversy brewing?
