Steph Curry spoke at the ESPYs, greeting Grant Williams and threw a jab at him saying he might let GWill wear his ring.

Warriors and Curry were lucky they cakewalked their way to the Finals, again...
Grant deserved that. Not sure why the #8 guy on the roster saying things like the Cs were better team after they choked and lost 3 straight. Grant needs to keep his mouth shut considering he was a total zero in the playoffs outside of the Bucks game 7.

Should've known Celticsblog would trash their own players. Seessh this place is becoming more miserable by the day.
Not sure how I trashed Grant. I pointed out he said something silly and then Steph Curry literally roasted him at the ESPY’s as a result. It’s ok to be critical of your favorite team’s players. Grant Williams is role player who thinks he’s more important than he is.

You honestly believe that? A simple statement suggests that Grant has a massive ego? Yeah Celticsblog definitely does to trash their own players.

“My position is going to backup four, but whatever needs to be done I’ll do it,” Gallinari said on the A-List Podcast. “I can play different positions, I’ve never played five, but if it’s something that needs to be played, I’ll play. No problem. Whatever needs to be done, I’ll be there to do it.” Gallinari believes he brings a mental toughness and experience to a younger team that he’ll get to know for the first time. – via Bobby Manning @ CLNSMedia.com

I had seen that also and it led me to check the 5-man line ups.  Gallinari played a fair amount opposite Collins both seasons he was in ATL.  I guess he considered that they were just playing 2 PFs.  It is semantics.  I think we will mostly see Gallinari playing opposite Horford or RWill and in those cases, Gallinari would be viewed as the traditional PF.  But I also think we will see Gallinari and Grant, especially if Horford or RWill are taking a night off.  I am not sure it matters if you call Gallinari or Grant the Center.  I am not worried about pairing at all.  They will be fine.  Not as good as Gallinari and Horford or Gallinari and RWill, but good enough.

I really think Gallinari and Grant on the floor together as the two bigs regardless of who is the 4 and 5 is going to be a disaster. Especially if the other team has big/athletic 4 or 5. Guess we will find out soon enough.

Im guessing Gallo will be the first off the bench replacing Al early, then when Rob is ready for a breather you bring Al back in, and then Grant to relieve Gallo. Then Rob would be next to come back in for Al so you'd have Rob and Grant at some point.

But this also depends on match ups. I could see Gallo over Horford if the D is clogging the paint. Biggest issue was teams didn't respect Smrt/Horford/Rob from the out side, so when Tatum and brown drove the D would collapse and tunovers would happen.

I could see Brogdan at the same time as Gallo relieving Brown quick, but Brown comes back sooner with White to let Smart and Tatum have a breather. You would end up having White/Brogdan/Brown/Gallo orGrant/Horford orRob for when Tatum goes to the bench. Thats a dang good line up and shouldn't have scoring issues when Tatum sits.

Yeah I'm with you - I don't see it being a particularly good fit. But who knows?

I think you are right, but what happens when Rob misses time which he has every season. Or when Al sits due to a back to back game, which he needs to so that he isn’t burnt out by the time the playoffs roll around. That’s why the C’s really need a veteran backup 5 and I would have preferred using the MLE or the TPE on one. Buyout market is a crapshoot and the vet min centers still available are very meh.

More from Grant regarding his trash talk with Dray Green:

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/grant-williams-reveals-bold-draymond-233040056.html

I'm not sure I'd be bragging after the fact.

Grant in the Finals:  4.2 points / 2.3 rebounds / 1.0 assists / 30% 3PT%

At some point you need to keep your mouth shut, right?

Grant’s only 23 and still has the potential to be our dynasty’s version of Dray. I personally love the guy, especially since I’m one of the only people on here who stood by him in 2020-2021 and never ever gave up on him. Could not have been more thrilled than his performance in game 7 against Milwaukee. That was a better game than Dray’s ever had in his career.

I do remember Grant at the 5 being a disaster, but who was the 4

Maybe I blocked it out of my memory due to 2019-2021 being such disasters

Maybe having a sweet shooter like Gallo makes it work

I wasn’t specific, meant disaster defensively. Might be Ok on the offensive end.

Grant Williams on what he's working on this summer:

1.  Shooting on the move when he's run off his spot
2.  Guarding screen actions, off-ball and on-ball
3.  Finishing near the rim in non-layup situations, particularly floaters and touch shots
