The Indiana Pacers are trading guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN.

Woah.

For peanuts!  Sign me up!

Theis + Nesmith + 2023 first per Woj

Sounds good! Gotta stay healthy tho....

Now need the Bryant shoe to drop to cover loss of Theis

A true playmaking pg and it only cost them two guys they aren’t playing

My guess is Bryant at the bet minimum replaces theis

How’s the money work there?

Yeah, something’s missing.

EDIT: Fitts, Stauskas, and Morgan.  The back of the bench came through as the end!!

Man, if the dude can stay healthy with us then that's a really nice move.  Big 'if', granted.

I thought we'd have to attach a pick just to offload Theis for nothing.

Or theis/Nesmith/Pritchard/Morgan/Stauskas/Fitts.  We can take back $23m in that scenario, based on the '22-23 salaries

When healthy Brogdon has averaged 19ppg.  He is smart, strong, and a leader... especially in the locker room.

His nickname is The President.

He's Vice President of the National Basketball Players Association Executive Committee.  And he won the NBA Citizenship Award.

He was also the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, and the Player of the Year.  Offense and defense!

You have to praise Stevens creativeness. Everyone except Nesmith was not on our team the day before the trade deadline last year.

Stevens signing a bunch of guys to the rest of season deals + a team option allowed him to aggregate enough salary for a player in that price range with Theis, without sending back anyone in our core.

Just demonstrating again fantastic creativity to upgrade our roster.

#Cavs have agreed to a one-year veteran minimum deal with center Robin Lopez, sources tell @clevelanddotcom

Would've liked him any of the last 4 years. For the vet min. he's a steal.

Yeah, Robin Lopez would've been a nice contrast to Theis. A big slow plodding center when the matchups require that or a mobile team defender like Theis when the matchups dictate that.

That balance would've been beautiful.

Can confirm @Adrian Wojnarowski that the Hawks are trading Kevin Huerter to Sacramento for Justin Holiday, Mo Harkless and a future first-round pick.

Booooo.

Edit: if that King's pick is unprotected, that's a good deal for Atlanta.

I'd rate Huerter as a 1st round pick somewhere in the 20s so if ATL gets anything better than that it is a home run for them. And even a late first is fair value.

Good deal for ATL.
