I'm not a Bridges fan, but I can see how it would be tough to continue to penalize him if he is in fact welcome back into the NBA. Even though it wasn't official, he was essentially already suspended for an entire NBA season. 30 more games or 10 more games is pretty irrelevant at this point.

Agreed. 

And, to the above, he wasn’t suspended, essentially or actually.  His actions made him unsignable.  That’s not the same as formal punishment.
