We seem to get 6-7 turnover every game where nobody touches us and the ball just pops free. Brown, Smart, Tatum. I don’t get it. Are they trying to draw fouls or what?

Game 5 blowout. Easy money calling that one

There are times I’d swear you’re a troll.  You were no where to be found in the 3rd quarter

Thanks Greg. Third quarter was fools gold.
Not a troll…just not a massive homer that doesn’t see what this team really is at times.

Lol yeah right dude.  You’ve been declaring us eliminated since Milwaukee

So when are we going to talk about the fact the C's don't have a PG? Tatum is the best passer on the team for a reason...
We won't. It's a function of our defensive identity that no true point guard type would fit in. Unless there's a Jason Kidd type available for us.

You would think unless the PG is a complete sieve on defense they would be fine. I've been a big Smart defender but I'm sorry the guy does not make players around him better. He's a really good defensive combo guard. He's entered into the my turn your my turn camp with the J's.
No, because it would either demote Smart, Williams or Horford to the bench, thus completely changing the defensive identity that has carried us thus far.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

  • GOT IT!!!
The C's should win Game 6. The offense is broken again though. Those old habits won't die.

Loss 2 in a row.

Are we about to drop 3 straight? Or win 2 straight? We will see how this unfolds...

The game 4, home loss was the series.
Up 7 and they lose.

Tonight was expected. The game 4 loss will be the one that swung the title.

this would be the beginning of the discussion on acquiring Ball who has the ball handling, passing and court sense to run an effective offense as well as the defensive chops to play switch defense.  Smart's not good enough to serve that function

Celtics have just struggled with their composure with the ref calls all night.

Because they're too young and immature. Showing that they have a lot of growing up to do if they want to win it all.

No doubt the refs have sucked for us and they have history with Davis and Brothers but you have to overcome that, can’t it affect your game

I’m wondering if Tatum is injured or his shoulder is bothering him, he airballed 5 shots tonight

Eh, he's shooting something close to 50% from three this series, so I don't necessarily think it's an injury. I think he's tired and he's feeling the pressure. I think Ime is right that he also is playing for the whistle instead of making the shot.

Celtics have morphed back into December Celtics at the worst time.

Celtics don’t have a shot with the role players and their “superstar” playing badly.
In Tatum's defense, with the exception of Rob, he didn't have a whole lot of help. It was a team effort.

Like always, too many turnovers. It's literally as simple as that; you control the turnovers and you win the game. Yet they simply can't even do that.

I think they'll respond, win handily at home, and it'll go 7. But it's hard to feel confident in them with how they've played this series. Just dumb play after dumb play for them.
Zero confidence in this team. They folded like a cheap chair in the 4th. Maybe they win in front of the home crowd but I doubt it. GS will close them out in game 6. They have a killer instinct and know what it takes to win. The Cs don’t, especially with this group of players. They have been perennial losers and underachievers.

I put the the entire blame on the tatum, literally a been a bum the entire series. Jack wagon.
If you blame Tatum for tonight's loss then I seriously question your knowledge of ball

Where was he in qtr 1 2 and 4?
Back to wanting Joe fired.

The sad thing is - if we don't collapse the last few minutes of the third, we probably win that game. We gave them momentum going into the fourth, and they took advantage right out of the gate.

Margin for error is so thin to win it all, and our BBIQ and composure just isn't there yet.
