TP goes to Coach Udoka for the non-timeout… we had them in the run and he allowed it to go. Good foresight!!!

He would have been flayed alive if it hadn't worked out I'm sure...but it's one of those gambles that are vindicated or not by the result. If they had missed they would have been criticized for not taking the timeout, but they probably wanted to catch the Nets backpedaling when they expected a timeout. They had to scramble but the Nets were scrambling too and left JT open at the rim. But we needed every sec of time remaining  :police:

Smart had a great game also. 20points,7reb, 6assist and 2 steals.  A winner.

So great to negate an other-worldly 4th quarter by Kyrie.

Love that he was the guy Tatum burned on that last play. He just weakly grabbed out at JT, like a helpless little child

Brooklyn's role players (non KD and Kyrie) were 21 for 34 from the field.  They're not going to get a better effort than that.

Celtics defense on Nets last possession was simply great - the double was great coaching and the effort was over the top.

In fact, I gotta applaud Jayson Tatum for his effort on defense in the 4th quarter.

Absolutely. And the contrast with the Nets lack of effort and focus really showed. Before that last bucket we got some easy ones to keep us in striking range.

Smart made such an intelligent play there, not shooting and finding Tatum.

Would have been absolutely demoralising to lose that due to Kyrie going nuclear

Fitting.  Reflects his true self.  Arrogant and selfish on the outside, but feeble on the inside.  We all saw that when he quit on our team against Milwaukee.
