WOW. Watson is waiving his NTC for Cleveland, and Cleveland is trading for him. AFC becomes even more loaded  :o

AFC West (Mahomes, Carr, Wilson, Herbert), Browns (Watson), Bengals (Burrow), Bills (Allen), Ravens (Lamar), Colts also could maybe add Baker or Jimmy G.

Wild.  You get sued by dozens of women for sexual assault and harassment, and you get a $50 million raise.

Didn't Mort just have a report that CLE wanted an adult at QB then they go out and get a guy who was (allegedly) diddling masseuses?  Sheesh.

Haslems are going to Haslem.

JuJu also tweeted that he's going to KC. AFC continues to just load up. Frustrating to watch as a Pats fan

Try being an AFC West fan.  They’re all going to beat each other up and someone’s going to miss the wild card because of it, especially when you consider the AFC and NFC West play each other as well.

Davante Adams traded to the Raiders.

Aaron Rodgers must be thrilled.

What a crazy offseason this has been  :o

Meanwhile...  the Pats are doing basically nothing. I wonder if Bill's just thinking, "the AFC is loaded, lets just ride it out a year, develop the young draft picks of 2021-2022 and then with a TON of cap space for 2023 start to make some moves with Mac Jones getting an additional year too".

Because right now, I think there's a legit case there's like 8-9 teams ahead of NE in the AFC. The AFC West is STACKED (all of them, even the Raiders now), and also a team like the Colts can still get a solid QB (Baker? Garoppolo? Not elite but still really good)

Develop the young draft picks and then trade 'em away or let 'em walk, and then re-draft new guys...rinse and repeat.
Such venom towards a guy that created teams that got this fan base to 9 Super Bowls in 20 years with 6 wins. The entitlement is simply dripping off this post.
That's kind of not fair. Especially when they let a bunch of guys they developed just walk. It's very true guys that developed into top players at their positions walked if they got top 5 money.
You can't hold onto everyone and Bill has had an eerily good eye of letting go of guys at the right time.

And even with that has held onto these guys until almost the end or until the end: Wilford, Brady, McCourty, Slater, Andrews, Edelman, Faulk, Bruschi, Light, Hightower, White, Gostkowski, Chung, Hernández, Develin, Ninkovich, Vollmer, Mayo, Mankins, Gronkowski, Koppen, Neal, Vrabel, Warren.

Belichick holds onto guys, but the right guys. And he doesn't usually overspend on guys he has drafted and so trades them or let's them walk late. Chandler Jones is one of his few mistakes in this regard. Ty Law probably another. Very, very few others left here to have long, highly successful careers elsewhere.

So actually, I think my response very fair.

What's even better is after some of the players leave for big contracts elsewhere, and they bomb, they come back and thrive (Jamie Collins part 1, Patrick Chung, perhaps soon also Trey Flowers).

I'm surprised by some of the moves (and lack of moves) by the Patriots so far, but I also recognize that we are about 4 days in to the new season, so no need to freak out.
Celtics fan for life.

Wow. Some teams have three or four really good receivers, but the Pats don't even have a clear No. 1.

And they gave him $230 million fully guaranteed.
Ever been to Cleveland?

They'ld have to pay me $230 million to go live there again for 5-6 years. 4 was enough for me.

I'd rather have no clear no. 1 than JuJu.

3x first, a 3rd and a 4th for Watson and a 5th

What will the Browns get for Mayfield?  If they can move Mayfield and a 5th for a 1st, 3rd and 4th, that’s a pretty decent net if everything works out.

In NE that’s fair.  As a third 2 fourth option, though, he’s quite solid.

How come? I thought he was pretty good, but maybe he's not as good as I thought? Or is he a troublemaker?

From all apparent sources he has been really, really bad for their locker-room over the last couple of seasons. He's a good end-zone threat, and will probably thrive alongside Hill, but I see him more as a Sammy Watkins type.

Bill relying on the draft for a WR1 instead of an established player is a bit frightening. But maybe he’ll go offensive line on round 1 and make it a moot point.
