In the 29 games where Smart, Brown, Tatum, and RWill have played together, that group has been +230 overall points and NetRTG of +20.2 while on the court together.

Understand that these numbers have been plumped up with some recent blowouts but this group has been really good when they have been able to play together.  Combinations with Horford have been really good also.  Our 5 starters are +159 in 23 games with a NetRTG of 26.5

We have played 60 games and only had our starters together for 23 games.  I think that says a lot.  We have them together tonight and hopefully for a nice end of season and playoff run.  This is a really good chance to set the tone, get this home stretch off to a good start, playing hard and playing the right way.

Yeah, it’s good news, bad news.  Our starters together are terrific, and the team is quite successful.  But if they wind up only being available for a third of our playoff games, it could be a very short postseason.

Could it also be said that the numbers are being held down by the atrociously difficult early season schedule where the team was constantly injured?

The numbers are what the numbers are after 60 games into the season. They are amazing. No need to add a caveat to the numbers. At this point, the team has been through ups and downs...health and injuries....equal amount of home and away games....and tough and easy parts of the schedule.

The numbers show that foursome and even the starting five are dominating forces.

Really excited to see us play again, the week off drove me crazy. Good that we are "full strength," albeit with a balky Smart ankle.

3 games in 4 days will be a great test.  Time to start another 9 game winning streak!!

I understand and agree.  I did hedge this as the starting 5 has only logged 300 total minutes together.  That is what the season is and the results are what the results are, which is really good, but there is still some level sensitivity to stats like this.  The 4 man unit has 558 minutes together, that is a bit more solid in terms of critical mass.

In any case, the whole point of posting this in the first place was to highlight that we have a statistically very strong starting unit.  All the signs are good for this to continue.

Shut up Barkly.

Yeah I had to get on because of the same thing.  Barkley is an idiot and he's always wrong.  I never want him to root for the cs.  If he does I get worried.
