So Sacramento traded away the only two guys that can hit shots on their team and the Pacers no longer have any PF’s? Weird...

You could certainly argue that Sabonis isn't a PF and is better suited to play C. Curious to see him play next to a guy like Barnes.

I mean, he can play both like Horford, but he was a PF in Indiana with Turner at C and if the Kings are starting Holmes, he will be a PF in Sacramento as well.

I think playing him at PF and playing Turner at C is what's held Indy back over the years. I view Sabonis is a Jokic-lite. Put high percentage shooters and cutters around him and let him create. Funnily enough, I would've loved to see an offense that featured Sabonis/Barnes/Haliburton/Fox.

And Sacramento should flip Holmes for a wing that can shoot.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Sabonis would've made Hield more valuable. Sabonis with 4 shooters is a fun squad.

I meant include Hield in that lineup. That would've been a fun team for sure. I like the potential of Fox as a cutter, too.

The Kings did okay here, but Barnes is their only plus shooter now. They need to go out and get at least one more starter that can shoot to round them out.

Wonder if Indy is going to try to flip Hield in a deal by himself?
This was my first thought.

I'm sure Brad has already made the call.

Horford for Hield works. Saves Indy cash and gives us a deadeye shooter.

That would put us further into the tax. Don't see us being in the mix for Hield if it means adding salary.

It actually puts Indy to the tax this year, which is more untenable.

Not sure what Indy's cap situation is like post-trade, but they would be cutting $4m in salary if they traded Hield for Horford.

My bad, I reversed their salaries.

On both ends. Because that team won’t be able to defend anybody.

I know, but that deal isn’t working unless you take back more salary from the Pacers this year too.

The fight for 10th is intense between New Orleans and SAC.

It'll be funny when Portland wins the spot anyway.

I don't really understand why New Orleans would want the 10th spot. They could really use another pick. Sacramento, I am not sure this trade makes them better. They needed to dump fox not halliburton. Guess this means they are high on Mitchell.

Mitchell has played big minutes and been productive since Fox went down.  They got a nice look at him.

Also surprised that they didn't move Fox here, but I'm guessing the Pacers had less interest in him.
Yup

The playoffs mean more money.
