Up by 13 with 5:28 to go, the Bucks outscored the Cs in a 21 to 4 run as the Cs choked on both sides of the ball down the stretch.

Yeah, we needed offense to finish off the game.

Giving up 21 points in less than 6 minutes isn't good either.

No, but if they score 8 points instead of 4 they win.

Also, part of the reason they gave up the 21 points was because of the poor offense. Like, I don't have the numbers in front of me but it did feel like the Bucks scored like 8-10 points in those final 6 minutes in transition or off of either a bad miss or turnover by the offense. That contributes to it too.

Yeah, we definitely lost because Ime didn’t play a guy who’s been out of the NBA for two years and has been on the team all of four days…

Meh, this team just underperforms on Christmas matchups and lose more often than win.

Can we not insult a coach who brought us a championship by comparing him with a hack who makes Celtics Pitino look like a genius? The coaching was terrible last night and we blew a 19 point lead despite outshooting a good shooting team from three and having multiple guys like Smart anf FastPP step up on offence.

This team is mentally weak. They tighten up down the stretch game after game. Can’t play with a lead.

Guys seemed gassed in 4th quarter, which is not surprising considering how many players are out. Calling them mentally weak after leading for 95% of the game is unfair

No, I would say losing another huge lead and then self-destructing down the stretch with the same old iso ball is the definition of mentally weak - especially when it happens over and over again.

This team needs a good PG who plays with pace desperately.

Smart is not a PG..Pritchard & Schroeder are better at that position
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Read somewhere, in the last three losses (Sixers, Bucks, Warriors) Tatum hasn't scored a single point in the final 5 minutes of each of those games, and they were close games too.

Great players like Giannis as we saw yesterday, even if they struggle early in games help their teams deliver late, or even if they struggle scoring they find ways to get others involved or facilitate for others.

Tatum does neither. It's becoming very frustrating and is a real problem.

I don't really put this on Brown either because I think even Jaylen's playing like the #2 guy and deferring to Tatum, but even if someone is open Tatum will just dribble into a triple team and either get stripped or make a bad pass (or settle for a bad iso-shot). Idk if it's just me but Tatum's drives also look very sluggish and indecisive.

I agree. I also think that Payton Pritchard has the ability to handle more point guard responsibilities.  Critics exaggerate his defensive issues. He actually has acquitted himself well over the last few games on the defensive end.  He is also a very capable ball handler; a wiz, really. What he lacks in explosiveness is more than made up by skill and guile.  His 3 point shooting prowess is a supreme bonus.  If Peyton was spearheading our offense the last few minutes of yesterday's game, I think the result would have been different.  Ime should give him more responsibility (along with Smart) to enforce the offensive sets, especially in the end of games.

The J's will simply ignore any point guard other than those with league respect and veteran weight. An experienced floor general is desperately needed in Boston.

At games end, both resort to ISO ball to closeout, taking off balance shots with a hand in their face, rather than move without the ball and get an easy, clean look. Jaylen, the better shooter of the two would be devastating under these circumstances. The opposing defense would be stunned to see both moving without the ball.

I think a respected PG is the big need. The question is do you create another big need in the trade?  I love PP in the backup/ spot start role.
So who fits the bill at PG and seems getable without sending a Jay or without leaving a hole somewhere else?
What would it cost to get Lilliard?
