Are you kidding me, Smart? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. was that? Why would you take that foul and reset the shot clock? What is that? That is incredibly frustrating. I’m not one to say that one play blows the game hit honestly that blew the game. That was idiotic. I hope Ime or someone else on the team rips him a new one. Welp, I'm not blaming Smart, without his defense we lose by 15....That absurd shot by Porzings to end the 3rd murdered us---if anything it should have been a foul on him for pushing Nesmith out of bounds after the steal.

I think it was just a brain fade. I doubt he was thinking when he did it, it was probably just on impulse, like a lot of things Smartacus does. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't unfortunately.

I'm more upset with his ill-advised heaving the ball up to try and draw a foul the possession before that, it was a terrible possession. We should have worked for a better shot than Smartacus trying to draw a foul with a flop.

That’s the sad part man. He’s a grizzled vet who takes pride in his defense. Fouling a guy in the backcourt with the shot clock going down was just a really bad play. Maybe he was overthinking because of the botched offensive play he had. I really don’t know.  This is what makes Smart a very polarizing player.

While this is correct, it should be noted that Luka’s game-winner was made despite being triple-teamed in the corner by Richardson, Time Lord, and Smart.

The reason the C’s lost is because Luka hit an impossible shot.  If Smart doesn’t take that foul, Luka likely hits a different impossible shot (or perhaps an easier one, as Smart fouled because Luka was getting past him), and sure, the C’s get the ball back with 6 seconds left, but they didn’t score the final 2+ minutes of the game, so the result would have been the same.

Horrible news...JB just can't catch a break. He was just starting to catch fire after an inconsistent start to the season recovering from Covid now this.

We need the best version of Schroder and Al to keep showing up to support JT to cover for him. Nesmith still hit or miss and Romeo too injury prone. I really think Schroder should be running this team and Smartacus coming off the bench.
