Schultz got wind of a huge expose ESPN is writing. Sarver has released a statement and referred to ESPN and more specifics so he clearly knew it was coming.

If he’s accused by an NBA partner like ESPN, I bet there’s some solid documentation to back it up.  No way they’d run with that story without a bunch of verified emails, recordings, or other evidence.  As of now it still seems to just be a Twitter reporter.

The obvious answer is that he can’t be racist because he elevates black people to management roles, just like the not-at-all racist Donald Sterling who made Doc Rivers his coach and GM.

I'm fairly certain that Jeff Bower and not James Jones calls the basketball shots in Phoenix.  I think it is pretty similar to the Philly situation.

These team owners tend to be the rich arrogant types fairly often and those types tend to do and say really dumb things fairly often.  Other than that, I guess we will have to wait to see what this is actually about before we can judge but my guess is it won't be pretty.

Everything I've heard about him is that he's a cheap skate, so if this forces him to sell to an owner who is more comfortable with spending $$ in the desert to maintain a young and exciting team that could be good for a long time, that sounds good to me.
