GWill theoretically should match up well defensively against Randle.  Will be interesting to see how he fares.

The Knicks are destined for the mediocrity treadmill with all of that money tied up with Randle's and Fournier's contracts.

Smart takes great joy in stopping Randle.

Starting Grant Williams is a fireable offense.

I think they are going to be pretty tough. Good coach, added some decent pieces in the off-season. Definitely above average.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

"Brown said the Celtics have provided an inhaler for him to use if he needs it, but he hopes it won't be necessary Wednesday night (TV: ESPN, 7:30 p.m. ET)."

Hoping Ime targets Kemba every time down the floor with mismatches. Want to see it done to someone else besides us for once.

Me too.  I wouldn't mind seeing Smart / Brown post him up a lot.  Take it to the hoop and have a mismatch, or force them to help, look for open 3s.

Yeah, good enough to win games and make the playoffs, but lack the top end talent to make a serious playoff run.  Lose out on lottery picks only to see 1st or 2nd round exits, with little chance of significant improvement to make them true contenders.  Not a good place to be.

sucks that the first game of the season is on ESPN with a blackout on NBSBHD.  have to listen to the collection of C's-hating numbnuts instead of Mike

Overall, I don't mind this Knicks team.  DRose still out there fighting, Randle turned better than expected, Kemba is a likable player, they have some decent young guys.  I don't dislike them anywhere near as much as I do the 76ers, or the Nets.

But the Celtics have the brighter future just because of Tatum and Brown.  It is weird when all of the national announcers are kind of knicks homers.

I see the tradition of starting a nationally televised game 15-25 minutes after the announced start time is being kept up this year.

Ugh!!!

Kemba really is a good guy. Even when he's no longer a Celtic, he'll be tough to root against. Wish it worked out different with him here.
