Embiid cleared concussion protocols.
He's got to suit up tonight, right?
Yeah, I have to imagine he is going to fight his hardest to play.

There’s optimism Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will return tonight in Game 3 vs. Heat, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. He has been fitted for a mask and will need to feel comfortable before green light. One of the NBA's great play-through-pain efforts recently.
I don’t love Embiid, but he makes every effort to suit up, especially in the playoffs. Quite different from his former teammate.
and yet that former teammate missed less games (on a percentage basis) than Embiid did.
Embiid has played in 40 of 46 playoff games.
Simmons has played in 34 of 42.
Just making things up again.
Simmons missed 4 playoff games in Philly, the entirety of the 2019-20 playoffs when the Sixers were swept in 4 games in the playoffs. He played all 10 games in 18, all 12 games in 19, and all 12 games in 21.
And the regular season is an even larger spread.
Honestly curious what your point is here? Simmons just willingly sat out 50 games. Does anyone think Embid would do this over hurt feelings? It was widely reported that he was available to play before aggravating his back with the Nets. Also why are just ignoring the games he missed this year? Just to have an argument? This is just creating arguments over nothing unless you actually believe Embid would ever take his ball and go home like Simmons would. Cause I think you would be the only person on the board believing that. TP to Celtics2021
Including the games Simmons missed this year, he missed a lesser percentage of games in Philadelphia than Embiid has. They both missed 2 "full" seasons and in the other seasons, Simmons played more games.
And it sure does seem like Embiid could have played more than 31 games in his first 3 years. In fact, this board debated that topic a lot at the time i.e. Embiid could go, but didn't. Now some of that may have been the Sixers holding him out, but Embiid is rarely actually healthy for any length of time. So whether he wants to play or not, doesn't make much difference when he can't actually play.
