Far too many times I see a Hawks box score when they’re losing and Trae Young only has like 12 points or less. In fact it feels like Young has a lot of these kinds of games where he’ll only have 10 or less points through 3 quarters, but then do well in the 4th so his stats look good but the Hawks typically are down big
If you’re an All Star caliber player you need to find ways to help the team even if you are unable to score. Young in the big moments I feel just fizzles (unlike Doncic who the Hawks could have had btw)
Beyond Hunter, they have a real lack of offensive talent to help Trae. Gameplan for him (and Spo is an expert at this) and the Hawks can be stopped
I don't think that is true, I think the Trae centric offense is the problem. Collins and Gallinari are both 20 ppg guys in their career. Bogdanovic 17 ppg. They have plenty of offense when Trae doesn't dominate the ball
Edit: I meant at times in their career not their career numbers. That wasn't very clear.
